Easy Bib makes it easier if you listen to your instructor

The Steps to EasyBib

• Go to Easybib.com1st Step: Create an account!

Create an AccountDo not link it to facebook. The district will not

allow you to connect.

2nd Step: Create a Project

Press the button to create a project.

After you have created a project

it will end up down here

3rd Step: Create a citation• Click on the Bibliography link under the

project name.

• Select the tab for the type of citation that you would like to make

The most frequently

used citation types are tabs

at the top

For other projects, you will need to go to the “All 59 Options” tab

When you select this tab this list of options should appear. Select the most specific label you can.

BOOK CITATION

Form for citing a Book

Select the tab where you found the source.

Be careful to select the correct tab because the form changes for each option!

Fill out the form.

• Look carefully at the source (book)

• Fill in as many boxes as you can• If you are not sure what goes in

a box, click on the box and a help window will appear.

• If you do not have the information that needs to go in the box – then skip it!

When the form is filled out, click this button!

Your citation has now been created and you are almost done!

The final step is Printing the Works Cited• Printing a perfectly formatted Works

Cited is easy if you RESIST the urge to COPY and PASTE

• To Print a copy of your works cited you MUST push the “Print as a Word Doc” Button

If you Push this button and select Print as a Word Document” . Your Works Cited will be done in the correct format and your life will be much easier….

ONLINE DATABASE CITATION

Quick tips about citing online databases

• Start with picking what type of source the document originally was. (Journal, Newspaper Article, Encyclopedia article etc)

• Include the URL for all websites and Online Databases. With an online database you only have to include up to the domain name. (.com, .edu, .org etc.)
