How to type your paper

Login

• Use your pin number for your user name• Use your date of birth as your pin. Example if

your birth date is Aug. 27, 2000 use 082700.

Choosing a program

• Look at the bottom of the screen and click on Microsoft Word.

• It is the blue square that has a “w” with the lines

Creating a file folder

• Click on the button in the top left hand corner

• Drop down menu will appear • At the top select new folder• Name your folder 1st nine weeks.

Heading

• Look at the toolbar across the top.• Click on the insert tab• Choose Header • Type your name, date, class period, and title of your

paper.• Then double click into the body of the paper•

Formatting line spacing options

• Under the home tab look at the paragraph area

• Click on the line spacing tab ( the box with the arrows pointing up and down)

• Select 2.0 for double space

Formatting font style and size

• Under the home tab look at the font area

• Click on the drop down arrow next to the font style (text style) Scroll down to Times New Roman or Arial

• Next box choose font size 12

Saving your paper

Title your paper and save it in the correct folder

Submitting your paper

• Once you have copied and pasted your paper into www.paperrater.com and you are satisfied with your grade submit on my webpage

• Under the Needwood site• Select quick links• Teacher Webpages• Choose my name Waukeshia Gant• Find homework page, your class, and upload your

paper.
