  • How to set up the A/V Remote App with your Wireless Blu-ray player (BDX3300/BDX5300) without an IR Blaster

    1. In the Bluray player Menu system, go to Setting, then Network and then select Internet Connection; press OK on your Bluray remote

    2. Then select Enable; press OK on your Blu-ray remote 3. Then select Interface and select Wireless; press OK on your Blu-ray remote

  • 4. The following message then pops up: It will cut off the current network connection. Are you sure to continue? Select Yes

    5. In the Wireless Settings Menu, select Scan and press Next 6. Select the WIFI network you want to connect to and press OK on your Blu-ray

  • 7. Press OK on your remote and then enter your security key (password is case sensitive) and select Enter

  • 8. Select Next 9. You should get a message that reads Connection success and IP is obtained.

    10. Select OK on the TV and press OK on the Blu-ray remote 11. In the Blu-ray player Menu system, go to Setting, then Network and then

    select Connection Test; press OK on your Blu-ray remote 12. If the Connection Test passes, the message Network is OK should show up. 13. Select OK on the TV and press OK on the Blu-ray remote 14. In the Blu-ray player Menu system, go to Setting, then Network and then

    select External Control Setting. Press OK on your Blu-ray player remote.

  • 15. Select Device Name if you want to change the name of your Blu-ray player

    18. The default Port Number is 4000; Leave it as is

    19. Connect your tablet to the same wireless router your Toshiba Blu-ray player is

    connected to 20. On your Android tablet, go to the Android Store using the Play Store icon and

    search for Toshiba

  • 21. First download and install the Toshiba Apps DB application

    22. Click the install button to add application to your Android tablet 23. Search for Toshiba remote on the Play store. Download and install the Toshiba

    24. A Toshiba A/V remote icon will be created automatically on your tablet 25. Touch the Toshiba AV remote icon to start application

  • 26. When you touch the AV remote app icon, a list of selectable devices will appear. Choose the Blu-ray player icon (with the name you gave the player on instruction #15) to pair the tablet and player together. The icon will then turn solid black and a check mark will also appear on the far right of the selected Blu-ray player

    27. Another menu should pop up asking for a User name and Password. Input

    the User name and Password you set in instruction #16 and #17

    28. Keep Port Number at 4000 just like instruction #18 29. With your finger press the blue Complete button at the top right corner of the

    menu.

  • 30. Be sure to touch the paired Blu-ray icon again (that now has a check mark) to enable the connection

    31. Now the Blu-ray remote should appear on the tablet screen and it is now ready for use
