How to record your laptop screen in Windows: Go to http://help.sjedow.catholic.edu.au

Select ScreenCast O Matic from the Software menu

You will see the ScreenCast O Matic page.

Click the link.

The ScreenCast O Matic software will download to your Downloads folder.

Right-click on ScreenCast.msi.zip and select Extract All..

Open the ScreenCast.msi folder.

Double-click the ScreenCast.msi file. This will launch the installer program.

ScreenCast O Matic is now installed on your computer. Locate or search ScreenCast O Matic from the Windows Start menu.

Select Launch FREE Recorder.

Select whether you wish to record the screen, the webcam or both.

Click the Size parameter to select the recording size, e.g. Active Window or Fullscreen.

If you wish to narrate your video click the Narration parameter to select the Internal Microphone.

You are now ready to begin recording the screen. Click the Rec button.

Wait for the three-second countdown to begin. Click Done when you want the recording to stop.

You are presented with options. Select Save As Video File to save the video on your computer.

A new dialogue appears.

Click on Filename to rename the video.

Click on Folder to select the location on your computer to save the video. Then click the green Publish button.
