HOW TO READ A BOOK USING CALIBRE

Reading a book in Calibre is simple. The books available are listed on the main screen. Double click the book you wish to read.

The reading screen window will pop up as shown.

The controls on this screen are as follows:

Control back and forward on the current page.

Open another book in your listings.

Copies selected text to clipboard.

Make font larger or smaller

Show Table of Contents

Go full screen

Page forward or back

Add a bookmark

Reference mode (shows paragraph numbers)

Preferences

Show book metadata

Print the book

Some important notes:

1. Calibre remembers the last page you viewed and will return to that page when the viewer is started up again.

2. You can add your own bookmarks using the Bookmark icon above. 3. Show the Table of Contents by clicking the Show Table of Contents icon

Clicking the Table of Contents icon gives you this screen.

Search for text here

Clicking on any chapter heading will bring you to that chapter.

Also borders of the screen can be dragged to enlarge it

The internal border between the Table of Contents and the text can also be dragged right or left to adjust

You can turn off the Table of Contents by clicking the same button again.
