A. HOW TO REACH VENICE, PIAZZALE ROMA (ROAD AND TAXI BUS TERMINAL)

From the Venice Marco Polo AirportThe easiest way to reach Piazzale Roma is taking a road taxi. It costs approximately 35,00, leaves from the platformsoutside the arrival hall of the Venice Marco Polo Airport and the journey time is about 30 minutes in good trafficconditions.Also, from the Venice Marco Polo Airport you can take the ACTV or ATVO road buses that end at Piazzale Roma.ACTV road bus n5 (orange bus) to Piazzale Roma leaves from the platforms outside the arrival hall of the airport, thedrive takes approx. 25 minutes and the price of a one way ticket is 2.50. The journey time is approx. 45 minutes in good traffic conditions and the price of a ticket is 6,00for one way and 10,00 return, valid 7 days (luggage included). Road taxis are availablein front of the airport terminal.

All courses of PhD Programme on Science and Management of Climate Change will be held at the San Giobbe Campus.It is easy to reach from either the Marco Polo Venice Airport or the Venice Santa Lucia train station or the Piazzale RomaVenice road taxi and bus terminal.

From the Marco Polo Venice AirportFrom the Marco Polo Venice Airport the easiest and cheapest way to reach the centre of Venice is taking the Alilagunawaterbus, a direct service between the Marco Polo Airport and the Venice centre. In order to get to the San GiobbeCampus take the orange line (Linea ARANCIO) of the Alilaguna waterbus get off at GUGLIE. The journey time isapproximately 1 hour and the ticket costs 13,00. Further information about the Alilaguna waterbus is available at:http://www.alilaguna.com/.In case you arrive at the Marco Polo Venice Airport when the last Alilaguna waterbus to GUGLIE is already left, youcan take the ACTV road bus n5 (orange bus) or ATVO road bus (blue bus) that end at Piazzale Roma road taxiand bus terminal. Both buses leave from the platforms outside the arrival hall of the Airport. The San Giobbe Campus is easy to reach by walking from Piazzale Roma road taxi and bus terminaland from the VeniceSanta Lucia train station. The walking distance is about 15-20 minutes. Please refer to the map.Otherwise it is possible to get to the San Giobbe Campus either from the train station or from Piazzale Roma with theACTV waterbus route no. 52 (getting off at the stop CREA) or with route no. 42 (getting off at the stop TRE ARCHI).In both cases the San Giobbe Campus is just a short 5 minute walk from the stop.
