The station does not need to be 50,000 watts if you are in a densely-populated area.
The actual 1 hour show is usually 53-54 minutes.
The station will usually give you 3-5 minutes in each show for you to sell.

Keep your ad in for at least 2-3 months before you make a decision on whether it is working or not.

PRODUCTION PROPOSAL SUBMISSION FORM
Thank you for your interest in submitting a program production proposal to Maryland Public Television (MPT). Decisions concerning programming to be produced for broadcast on MPT’s six channel statewide public television network are based on a variety of factors – in particular how the project fits MPT’s mission to serve the citizens of Maryland. This determination is based on MPT’s mission statement, the audience and community being served, the project’s funding status, and whether need for this program is already being addressed within the mix of current MPT programs and initiatives.
MISSION STATEMENT
Maryland Public Television will educate, entertain, and engage the people of Maryland and beyond through creative programs and services of the highest quality, delivered through
traditional public broadcasting and new multi-platform technologies.
GOALS RELATED TO MPT PRODUCTIONS
Goal One: To create and enhance programming and services that recognize the values and meet the needs
of the people of Maryland and surrounding areas and that strengthen MPT’s position as a major producer of high-quality programming for all PBS viewers.
Goal Two: To effectively use the conversion to a digital environment as the foundation upon which to
create and innovate, especially in the area of multimedia delivery systems, in ways that extend MPT’s reach and increase its values.
