1.1. Check if .Net Framework 3.5 is installed:Go to the windows search function (Windows 10 - to the right of the start menu icon)

Open 'Turn Windows features on or off' by using the windows search function

a) If ".NET Framework 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0)" is in the list and TICKED:

- Already installed, move to the next step of this instruction

b) If ".NET Framework 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0)" is in the list but is UN-TICKED:

- Tick the box for this framework, and select OK

- Select 'Let Windows Update download and install files for you'

- Once installation is complete click close and move to next step in this instruction

c) If ".NET Framework 3.5 (includes 2.0 and 3.0)" is not in the list:

- Go to ics-skills.net

- Scroll down to Software Downloads Section

- Select 'Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1'

- Run the downloaded installer by clicking on it

- Select 'Download and install this feature'

- Once installed click Close

1.2. Run Test this PC now:Go to web.ics-skills.net

Scroll down and select 'Test this PC now'

Select the appropriate in-application test for the Office version installed on the device

Check for errors:

a) 'no extension detected'

- Click 'Install Extension' to the right of the error

- Click 'Add to Chrome'

- Click ' Add Extension'

- Close the popup message

- Return to the start of section 2.2 and repeat

b) 'no plugin detected'

- Click 'Download' to the right of the error

- Run the downloaded installer by clicking on it

- Select Next to continue Setup

- Select Yes to allow app to make changes to your device

- Once installed click Finish

- Return to the start of section 2.2 and repeat

Login

Under 'Automated Tests' section, select the programme being studied (May Differ than that shown below)

Each section can be minimized or expanded by click on the header of that section

Under Diag Standard, select a test

Check for Errors:

a) 'popups disabled':

- Select the Popup blocked icon in the top right of the browser

- Select 'Always allow ...'

- Select 'Done'

- Refresh the System Checks Page

b) 'Office Errors':

- Check that the test selected matches the Office Version installed on the device

- Troubleshoot Office

Each check should now show OK

Click Continue

Click Start to start the test
