Making skin clear

This is the image I am using.

I then duplicated this image.

Thirdly using the duplicated layer I used ‘Gaussian blur’ on the image.

After the image was blurred I added a ‘layer mask’ on top of the image.

I then used the paint bucket tool to colour the layer mask in black.

By colouring the layer mask in black the image becomes un blurred. I then selected the paint brush tool in colour white, making sure the brush was soft edged.

I lowered the capacity of the layer mask.

I then coloured in the skin with the white paint brush, this makes the skin look very clear. If it looks too blurred I can lower the capacity.

Finally I merged the two layers together.
