How to make a

Sonobe Unit

you need a square piece of paper

fold along

these lines

fold the left top

corner to the

centre line so

that the edge

forms a point

in the bottom

left corner

repeat for the

bottom right

corner so that the

edge forms a

point in the top

right corner

flip the paper over so that the colour side is up

fold the bottom left to the point indicated by the star

and unfold

fold the top right

corner to the crease

line created by the

last fold

unfold and turn over

holding the flap down, fold

the end so that the blue line,

lines up with the purple line

repeat for the top right corner

should look like this…

fold the bottom edge (blue)

to line up with the edge of

the small triangles (purple)

Note: the edge of my small triangles do not match the purple line because they are not lying flat

repeat this for the top

edge

should look like this…

Lift up each large triangle and tuck the

smaller triangle into the flap underneath.

Repeat this for both large triangles.

This makes the complete unit stay

better…
