An example of a quote sandwich
Throughout his experience in the concentration camps, Wiesel was unable to believe in both God’s mercy and the Nazi’s unreasonable hatred. When he saw babies being murdered before his eyes, he could no longer trust God: “Never shall I forget those moments which murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to dust” (Wiesel 32). His faith faded with each day and new horrific experience. What he had believed in with all his being before was beginning to seem false.
