• The following instructions assume that the devices are already running the Nexus demo loop

• Screenshots in the following instructions were taken from the Motorola Nexus 6; but, they apply to all Nexus Smartphones and Tablets

• The Nexus demo loop will not prevent the uninstallation of Apps from the device; therefore, as part of daily maintenance, you should ensure that all Apps are installed as intended

• Account Credentials are being provided in a separate documento Credentials will be posted to Retailweb for Corporate locations, and will be delivered via your DBM for Dealer

locations

• Next Issue should only be installed on Tablets for the best customer experience; and only when the Tablet is merchandised in Portrait orientation, like the HTC Nexus 9 Tablet

From the Home Screen, tap ‘Play Store.’

If you are not already signed in, you will be prompted to create a new Google account.

Choose a first and last name of the account.

Choose a username. (Choose something appropriate, as this username can be seen by customers.)

If the username that you have chosen already exists, choose another, or pick from the list of recommended alternatives.

Once you have selected an available username, Tap ‘Next.’

Choose a password. (Note: you should take note of both the username and password for future use)

Tap ‘Skip’ on the ‘Recovery phone’ screen.

NOTE: You only need to follow the following 12 steps if you do NOT already have a Google Play account set up and logged into the device.

Tap ‘I Agree’ on the ‘Privacy and Terms’ screen.

Tap ‘Next’ on the ‘Your Google Account’ screen.

Uncheck ‘Back up your phone’s apps …’ and ‘Keep me up to date …’ on the ‘Google services’ page Tap ‘Next.’

Select ‘Remind me later’ when prompted to ‘Set up payment info.’ Tap ‘Next.’

Tap the search icon (magnifying glass).

Type Spotify, and select ‘Spotify Music’ from the dropdown list.

Tap ‘Install.’ Tap ‘Accept’ on the ‘Permissions’ screen.

Once Spotify finishes downloading and installing, Tap ‘Open.’

Tap ‘Login.’ Input your store’s Spotify Premium demo account credentials. (Provided in a separate document)

If you receive the ‘What’s New’ screen, tap ‘Done.’

Spotify is now installed and setup with your store’s demo credentials.

Return to the Play Store (use the Back button, the Recent Activity button, or access it from the Home Screen).

Input ‘shomi’ in the Search field, and select ‘shomi_forphone’ (choose ‘shomi for tablet’ if you are installing the App on a Tablet from the list of options.

Tap ‘Install.’

Once shomifinishes downloading and installing, Tap ‘Open.’

If prompted to allow shomi access to the phone, Tap ‘Accept.’

Tap ‘Rogers’ when prompted to ‘Sign in with your partner.’

Input your store’s MyRogersaccount credentials. NOTE: for first time shomi account use instructions, please see the accompanying document: “Logging into shomi for the first time.’

Tap the ‘>’ to navigate through the ‘Welcome to shomi’ tutorial.

Tap ‘Got it, Thanks.’

Return to the Play Store (use the Back button, the Recent Activity button, or access it from the Home Screen).

Input ‘NHL’ in the Search field, and select ‘NHL’ from the list of options.

Select ‘NHL.’ Tap ‘Install.’ Once the NHL app finishes installing, Tap ‘Open.’

Tap ‘Accept.’

Tap ‘Agree’ when prompted with the ‘Terms of Service …’

Tap ‘Enable.’ Select the team(s) that is/are relevant for your market.

Tap ‘Done’

Input your store’s MyRogerscredentials and Tap ‘Sign In.’

Tap the Menu icon (3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the App) and Select ‘Rogers Sign-In.’

Tap the Menu icon again, if it says ‘My Rogers Account’, you have successfully logged in.

You have reached the end of the setup for Nexus Smartphones, please continue to ensure that Next Issue is installed on Nexus Tablets (currently,

only the HTC Nexus 9 Tablet)

Type ‘next issue’ in the search window and Tap the ‘search’ button on the keyboard.

Tap ‘Next Issue Unlimited.’ (it should be the first available tile)

Tap ‘Install.’ Once next issue™ is finished installing, Tap ‘Open.’

Tap ‘Sign In.’ Input your store’s MyRogerscredentials, check the ‘I agree to the Terms of Service’ box, and Tap ‘Sign In.’

That’s it! You’re done. You can begin to populate magazine subscriptions to your demo library.

Q: I launched an App to do a demo for a customer; but, it is not signed in, what do I do?A: Retrieve your store’s username and password and sign-in to the App.

• Login credentials will be distributed via Retailweb task and will be housed on Retailweb here for Corporate stores; and they will be distributed via your DBM for Dealer Stores

Notes:• Spotify, Next Issue, and NHL will rarely, if ever, prompt you to login again once you have logged in for the first time• shomi will routinely ask you to verify your MyRogers credentials• There is nothing stopping a customer from signing out of the App; you should frequently ensure that the Apps are

signed in to ensure the best customer experience while engaged in a demo.

Q: The App icon has disappeared, where did it go?A: The Samsung and Sony demo loops/software is built to clear new content from the home screen at set intervals. As long as you have followed the ‘How to Install Rogers/Partner Apps’ setup instructions, the next issue™ app is still there; you will find it in the Applications list.

Q: Somebody performed a factory reset on our demo device, how do I get the Apps back?A: Follow the ‘How to install Rogers/Partner Apps’ instructions from the beginning to reinstall content as required.
