All good up to the recovery part

    Hi,

I'm new to android but have flashed lots of Windows Mobiletype devices in my time.

I have unlocked the WFS bootloader sucessfully. I put thedevice into fastboot mode, connect to USB and open theCMD window. I type in the command and successfully writethe recovery file (in about 3 seconds?). Now this is whereprogress halts for me:

If I got into bootloader, and then recovery, the phone vibratesonce and displays the white screen with the HTC logo. Andthere it remains! I left it for quite a while (say 20-30 mins) justin case it was doing something that took time but alas, no.

I can remove the battery and reboot into bootloader, OR getback into "normal use" with a normal restart, so the deviceisn't bricked. I just can't seem to get into recovery. I'vefollowed this and another tutorial from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1878031 both saying prettymuch the same thing.

Have I missed an obvious step please? Everything looks likeit's executed correctly, but I seem a little stuck. Do I need anew Kernel to get into recovery? That makes no sense to me,but I repeat: I'm new to Android!

This is a WFS on UK TESCO network, 2.3.5 ROM installed fromthe factory, HTC sense.
