Hey, guys. I'm a Xperia arc Sdeveloper, but I also own a HTCWildfire S and I found out a veryeasy and fast way to flash CWM,kernel and ROM on our Marveldevices. So, here is the guidestepbystep:
1. Unlock the bootloader using this site ------------->HTCDev
2. Download any custom kernel you want.3. Download recovery -----> CWM for WFS4. Download any ROM you want and place it on SD card.5. Open Windows Terminal Emulator in directory where
you have fastboot files (you got them during unlockingbootloader)
6. Put your phone in fastboot mode by (when device is off)holding power button and volume down, thanconfirming "fastboot" option by pushing power button.
7. Connect your phone to PC via USB.8. In opened Terminal Emulator on PC type

All good up to the recovery part
Hi,
I'm new to android but have flashed lots of Windows Mobiletype devices in my time.
I have unlocked the WFS bootloader sucessfully. I put thedevice into fastboot mode, connect to USB and open theCMD window. I type in the command and successfully writethe recovery file (in about 3 seconds?). Now this is whereprogress halts for me:
If I got into bootloader, and then recovery, the phone vibratesonce and displays the white screen with the HTC logo. Andthere it remains! I left it for quite a while (say 20-30 mins) justin case it was doing something that took time but alas, no.
I can remove the battery and reboot into bootloader, OR getback into "normal use" with a normal restart, so the deviceisn't bricked. I just can't seem to get into recovery. I'vefollowed this and another tutorial from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1878031 both saying prettymuch the same thing.
Have I missed an obvious step please? Everything looks likeit's executed correctly, but I seem a little stuck. Do I need anew Kernel to get into recovery? That makes no sense to me,but I repeat: I'm new to Android!
This is a WFS on UK TESCO network, 2.3.5 ROM installed fromthe factory, HTC sense.
