Sink them to the bottom using your fingers. Pour the entire contents of the cup (water and seeds) onto the plate + paper towel. Fold the paper towel over the seeds to cover. Seeds will begin to crack open and a tap root will develop. Allow the tap root to grow 1/2 cm to 3/4 of an inch before transplanting. Each strain will take from 2 to 7 days to crack open. Fold a thick paper towel (free of dyes & perfumes) and position on a plate. Place in a warm, dark room and let sit until they open. Ensure the paper towel stays moist by adding water periodi- cally. If you are having problems, its likely due to lack of water. As a last effort, drop them into a cup of distilled water and leave them until you see a taproot appear. Then, start over with the paper towel method until the taproot is 1/2 inch long. Keep your paper towel moist! Depending on your humidity levels and may require adding water every 5 hours. Do not let your paper towels dry out!
