How to format a page in Microsoft Word?
There are three sections to every page
• Page Sizethe size of the paper
• Image Areathe section of the paper where text and images are placed
• Marginsthe space between the image area and page size
A “bleed” is when the image area extends to or beyond the limits of the page size. THERE IS NO MARGIN

Setup the page1. Click on Page Layout2. Set your Margins3. Set your Orientation4. Set your Page Size
Formatting Text1. Highlight the text2. click the arrow next to
Paragraph tab (right side pointing down)
3. Set the typeface, size, leading, indents for your text

• Letter size 8.5x11 paper• 1 inch margins on all sides
MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities on a secondary and post secondary level.
