IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

READ BEFORE USING THIS ITEM!

Flying an RC airplane involves responsibility and common sense.Special care MUST be taken to only fly in areas free of people, vehicles, roads, power and telephone lines, buildings and animals. Never fly an rc airplane near areas which could potentially harmsomeone. When you are possibly losing control of an rc airplaneuse the controller to cut the power to the airplane before it canreach an area which may endanger someone or something.

· For most RC airplanes, it is intended that children under 16 years of age are to be closely supervised by an adult. (Age suitability ratings are often given but these are not to replace the need for adult supervision). If you choose to fly an rc airplanein a dangerous area or with people who are not observingthe airplane closely someone can get hurt. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. OUR RC AIRPLANES ARE SPORTS ARTICLES ANDNOT TOYS. ADULT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED.

· Make sure that all airplane parts are secure and properly installed. Do not try to glue a propellor back together or expect a partto work properly after it is damaged. Carefully inspect youraircraft before each flight.

· Always turn ON the transmitter before turning on the airplane. Hold the plane securely whenever you turn it on to make sureit does not take off on it’s own.

·Keep fingers or other body parts away from moving propellersat all times.

·When flying, make sure any spectators are behind you and thatthey are paying attention.

directly into the wind. Flying into the wind helps to provide liftto the plane and help you get it into the air so that you can make turns more smoothly. If you take off at an angle to thewind it will cause the plane to shift in the direction the wind isblowing and cause you to potentially lose control of the aircraft. This is a very common cause of rc airplane crashes. Take offinto the wind (the wind at your face, not your back)!

WARNING:

· If at any time during flight the airplane gets stuck, for example,in a tree, power line, on top of a roof, etc., DO NOT attemptto retrieve it yourself. It's not worth the risk of serious injury. We strongly suggest that you contact your local fire departmentfor assistance. Again, the need for adult supervision isimportant. If used by a child, do they know they could getelectrocuted if they touch a power line or they could even cut one by flying close to exposed power lines.

CHARGING THE

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

· Do not modify batteries at will.· Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.

· DO NOT OVERCHARGE A BATTERY.We have never had a battery start a fire and the batteries weuse are designed to not cause fire hazards but we do ask thatyou be careful in this area. Do not charge batteries beyond theestimated time required, usually not more that 4 hours. Do notcharge batteries on top of flamable surfaces, such as carpets, cloths on near paper. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.· Overcharging or under charging a battery may also lead to battery damage and result in an accident.

· If all other considerations are met, make sure to take off

Do Not Fly is Hazardous Areas!

Note to Parents:

Adult supervision is required for the safe

operation of an RC airplane. We have

attempted to make this guide as clear as

possible to help you but there is no substitute

for the wisdom and experience of an adult.

Use this RC plane at your own risk but most

importantly keep your kids and others safe by

following these guidelines and using proper

judgement when in flight situations.

Page 4: How to Fly an RC airplane Guide

· There should be no vehicles, buildings, people, telephone or

power lines, trees, or anything else that your airplane can crash into. Ideally there should be a soft grass landing area.

· The flying field should be large enough that you can land

anywhere safely in case the plane malfunctions, gets hit by a bird, runs out of battery power...etc. in flight.

· Pick up the airplane and carefully grasp the fuselage right

behind the main landing gear with your one hand and away from the propellers! Use the other hand to operate the transmitter. Turn on the controller and the power switch of the airplane. When you are ready, hold the airplane just above shoulder level and push the throttle for more power. Pitch or throw the airplane directly against the wind direction and horizontally. While the airplane is flying straight, continue to activate the throttle on the controller so the airplane will climb.

Landing:

· While controlling the direction, lower the throttle control to

allow the airplane to glide freely. When the airplane is about 4 feet off the ground, give it a little throttle for a few seconds, and then release it. This will level the airplane off so it does not nose into the ground. Note: Landing should always be done into the wind with the wings level.

PRELAUNCH CHECKLIST:

all components attached properly.

· Are all of the screws firmly attached?

· Is the propellor firmly secure on the motor?· Are all the snap links closed?· If you are using glue for a repair or for the construction of the plane is it the proper type and is it dry. We recommend using the parts which come with the plane only, or spare parts purchased from boomerangs.com but if you do use other options take special care.· .Are the wings at the proper angle relative to the plane body?· .Does the center of gravity balance the airplane's structure?· .Make sure that If any other RC airplanes or vehicles are present they are turned off or of a completely different frequency. Flying two airplanes of the same frequency at once will cause an accident as the controllers will interfere with each other.

TESTING:

· Turn on the remote control power switch.

· Before turning on the airplane, pick up the airplane and guarantee

the propeller's are securely fastened to the airplane.

· Test that the plane is properly balanced with the wings and

tail aligned at 90 degree angles to the fuselage.

· Turn on the power switch on the airplane.

· Test the speed, power, and accuracy of the propeller(s).

· If your plane has advanced flight control features test that all

control surfaces are aligned and working properly.

· Fully extend the antenna of the remote and turn the power on.

· Use the weather vane at the end of the antenna to identify wind

direction.
