HOW TO MANAGE EXPECTATIONS?BALANCE DEGREE OF FREEDOM AND RELEASE CONTROL

My boss in 2013:

“I have never seen a good e-learning in my life. But go ahead and I willhelp”. Today, we collect great feed-back of worldwide located learners.

My Sika colleagues in 2016:

“Classroom trainer will never be able to deliver SCORM content due to

missing didactic knowhow”. They ask for more quality control loops.

HOW TO REALIZE THE MOVE FROM PPT TO SCORMBALANCE DEGREE OF FREEDOM AND RELEASE CONTROL

Personal view about how to build up successful SCORM creators:

• Find passionate classroom trainer

• Train them in SCORM and in didactic (3-5 days)

• Ask them to define their own control loops

• Give them a maximum degree of freedom

• Limit your control to the final release

• Make final surveys mandatory for each e-learning and PPT training

• Remember: Do not control SCORMS more than PPT training
