1. Start with a rounded triangle.

2. Add another one for the head. Then connect the head and body with a curved neck.

3. Small ovals work for the ears, nose, lips, and eyes.

5. Camels are mostly tan and brown with dark eyes. Fuzzy lines help make it seem furry. To make a Bactrian Camel instead of a Dromedary, add another hump!

Camels

4. Add kite shapes for top of the back back legs. The rest of the back legs and the front legs can be made with rectangles. Two legs will be partially hidden on the back side of the body. A skinny tail finishes the camel.

1. Start with a rounded triangle with two small ovals above it.

Panda Bear (Easy)

2. Add another rounded oval shape at the bottom of the big circle. Add two more skinny ovals above the new oval.

3. Finish the face with the nose and mouth details, and the dark circles for eyes. A big oval starts the body.

5. The legs, ears, and eyes are black. The rest of the body is white. Make the body fuzzy!4. Use pairs of rectangular shapes for the legs.

The arms are somewhat banana-shaped.

1. Start with a rounded triangle with two small circles above it.

4. Use ovals for the hind legs and feet. Rectangular shapes make the front legs. The side stripe and foreleg can be hard to make.

5. The legs, ears, and eyes are black. The rest of the body is white. Make the body fuzzy!

Panda Bear (hard)

2. Add a long oval at the bottom of the big circle. Add two more small circles above the oval.

3. Finish the face with the nose and mouth details, and the dark circles for eyes. Two big ovals start the body.

1. Start with an oval.

4. Add rectangles for the legs with small rounded toenails. Lines on the trunk and a skinny tail finish it!

5. Elephants are grey! Add shading to give them dimension. Tusks should be white, and the eyes are dark.

2. Add another oval for the head. Add two trapezoids with rounded corners for the ears.

2. Use a bent rectangle for the trunk. Two smaller arcs make the tusks. Small ovals make the eyes.

Lion

1. Start with an oval and a many-pointed star around it.

2. Add pairs of ovals for each eye, and then add the ears.

3. Three more ovals and a triangle make the nose and mouth. Two rounded triangles or ovals make the body and leg.

5. Lions manes should be jagged and irregular. Make their feet and around their mouths lighter than the rest of their bodies. Add fuzzy lines to make them seem furry.

4. More ovals and rectangles finish the legs. Add feet and a tail to finish the lion.

kangaroo (Easy)

1. Start with a tilted oval shape and two smaller ovals for the ears.

2. Add the eyes. Then use two ovals to make the body. The smaller one is for the belly.

3. Curved banana shapes make the tail and the arms. Hide part of one arm behind the body.

5. Kangaroos range from reddish brown to tan to grey. Adding a baby Joey is optional.

4. Add pairs of rounded triangles or ovals for the large legs.

kangaroo (Hard)

1. Start with a tilted oval shape for the body.

2. Add a smaller tilted oval for the head and connect it to the body with curved neck lines. Similar shapes will finish the ears.

3. Curved Necktie shapes do the back legs. Draw the front one, then have the second next to it.

4. Finish the face with ovals, and then add bent rectangles for the front legs.

5. Finish with the tail and then color tans and browns.

1. Start with an oval. Add two teardrop ears above it.

2. Finish the head with two horn spikes, an eye, and a nose oval. Add a neck oval.

3. An oval makes the body. A dented trapezoid or rectangular shape makes the armor plates.

4. Oval shapes make the legs. Hide two legs behind the front ones. Add a skinny tail.

5. Rhinos are usually gray. Some are very light, almost white though. Heavy lines make the armored plates more 3D.

1. Start with two rounded triangles. The smaller one is at the lower corner of the bigger.

2. Finish the head with an eye, and a nose oval. Add a neck oval.

3. An oval makes the body. Add a skinny tail.

4. Oval shapes make the legs. Hide two legs behind the front ones. Add a skinny tail.

2. Use a lopsided oval for the head, and connect it the body with a thick triangle.

Giraffe (Easy)

1. Start with a trapezoid.

3. Rounded rectangles make the legs and tail. Do the legs in pairs.

3. Use oval shapes for the horns, ears, eyes, and nose.

5. Giraffes need brown splotches with dark outlines. Draw 4-6 of them. The skin around the spots is usually tan.

2. Use a lopsided oval for the head, and connect it the body with a thick triangle.

Giraffe (Hard)

1. Start with a rounded rectangle body.

3. Add pairs of long tapered trapezoids for the legs. Hide the back two in front of the front two.

3. Use ovals for the nose, eye, ear, and the horns. Add a bump in the back for the tail.

5. Giraffes need brown splotches with dark outlines. Draw these as rectangles, diamonds, and pentagons. The skin around the spots is usually tan. Try using dashed lines for the rest of the body!

Zebras

1. Start with an oval. Add two teardrop ears above it.

2. Finish the head an eye and the nose. Add a neck oval.

4. Oval shapes make the legs. Hide two legs behind the front ones.

5. Every zebra has unique black and white stripes. Take your time making interesting patterns. Experiment with different styles and thicknesses of lines. Their feet, tail, and nose should be black.

3. Add a large rounded triangle or oval for the body. Then add a line for the neck crest and a simple tail.

1. Start with a shape that looks like a lumpy circle. Add two circles on top. Koalas have large ears!

2. Add an oval in the middle for the mouth and nose. Split the mouth/nose oval. Then add second circles in the ears and the small dark eyes.

5. Koalas are fuzzy and grey with dark eyes and pink in the ears and chin. Make them fuzzy! The tree can be green tan/brown.

4. The hands and feet should have pointy fingers and toes. The top arm is almost a trapezoid on its side. We’ll add a tree last when we’re coloring the Koala.

Koala Bear

3. Add lopsided oval for the body, and two more for a leg. Also finish the nose with two ovals.

1. Start with a circle and two oval eyes.

2. Add teardrop ears and a figure-8 mask around the eyes. An oval starts the body.

3. Finish the face with mouth and nose oval details. Add ovals for the back legs.

4. The forelegs are almost rectangles. Monkeys have 5 digits on their hands and feet, just like people. Add a wavy tail to finish the monkey.

5. Monkeys can be orange, yellow, tan, brown, grey, or a mixture of those!

Practice repositioning the legs and tail for different poses, too!
