How to be SuccessfulIn Madame Coldiron’s Class
In Madame C’s ClassRules and Consequences
Rules1) Be in seat and working on bell ringer by tardy
bell2) Bring all books and materials with you and take
them when you leave3) Come to class with a positive attitude and ready
to learn4) Participate and stay on task and focused during
class 5) Follow all Central Gwinnett handbook policies
and procedures6) Speak French as much as possible!
Not following the rules will get you:
• 1st - Warning
• 2nd - Action plan and parent contact
• 3rd - Referral
Following rules will get you:
• Verbal appreciation from teacher
• A stress free learning environment
• A pleasant and orderly classroom
atmosphere

Entering Class
• Enter quietly
• Sit in your assigned seat
• Take out your materials
• Put homework on desk if needed
• Begin bell work assignment
In Madame C’s ClassTardies
A tardy is:
• Stepping into class after the bell begins
to ring
• Being out of your seat/off task when the
bell rings
If you are tardy:• Excused tardy : • show Madame Coldiron your pass• follow the normal classroom procedure for entering class without disrupting those around you
• Unexcused tardy: •Sign in• follow the normal classroom procedure for entering class without disrupting those around you
No pass, no excuse• If you do not have a pass, your tardy is unexcused.

Homework and Student Responsibility Card
Turning in homework
• Place at top right corner of desk before beginning bell ringer
• When you receive a paper, place yours on top of it and pass the stack toward the white board
• Madame Coldiron will collect stacks from rows
Student Responsibility Card (if you did not do your homework)
• Fill it out
• Sign and date it
• Turn it in with the homework papers
In Madame C’s ClassWhat next?
When you finish work early:• Review your vocabulary• Start any homework you have for that
night• Read a book• Work on any late/incomplete assignments• Finish the bell ringer if you did not• Create new ways to remember vocabulary
words• Please allow others to complete their
work respectfully
In Madame C’s ClassMakeup Work and Re-take Tests
After an absence• Go to the makeup work notebook
• Copy the assignments down
• Retrieve any handouts
• Sign the notebook
• Remember it is due within 5 school days and must be left in the makeup work basket on the bookshelf
If you are unhappy with a grade on an exam:• You must sign up for the re-take at Madame C’s
convenience
• You may only re-take one time. Make it a good one.
• Come to tutoring – one tutoring session AT MINIMUM is required before you may re-take the test.
• Study at home. • THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO QUIZZES, ONLY UNIT TESTS

Bathroom Procedures/Leaving Class
If you must leave class• Fill in a pass in the correct place on
your agenda book
• Have Madame C sign your pass
• Sign out of class
• Sign in when you return

Moving around the room
• You must ask permission• Do not ask during a classroom discussion/instruction time unless it is an emergency
In Madame C’s ClassClass Dismissal
Class Dismissal
• The teacher dismisses you, not the bell
• Do not start packing up prior to the bell
• Wait until the teacher finishes the class and dismisses you
