This document is vital for those applying for local and overseas jobs, and other legal services outside the country. Filipinos abroad who want to apply for an NBI clearance must fill out a Fingerprint Card form at the nearest Philippine Consulate Office in whatever country they live in.Instructions1. 1Bring two valid identification cards to the office. Fill in the personal data required on both sides of the card. 2Have a consular officer help you impress your fingerprints on the appropriate spaces on the card. The consular officer must sign his name and official designation on the card. 3If you are a married woman, write your maiden surname, your husband's surname, your first name or given name and your maternal surname in that order. 4Attach a 2 by 2 photograph in the appropriate box in the Fingerprint Card Form. The photo must be taken within three months before the application, and must have a white background. 5Send the completed form to Director, National Bureau of Investigation, Taft Avenue, Ermita, 1000 Manila, Philippines. Enclose a money order for Php 200, payable to the director, or any currency/bankdraft of its equivalent negotiable in the Philippines. 6Wait for the clearance certificate to be mailed to you. It normally takes a maximum of three days to process application papers. 7Look for the embossed NBI dry seal on the lower left portion of the returned NBI clearance certificate.
