From the number of commentsquestions that I get it seems that Mobile VoIP (mVoIP) is growing fastIf you are still not familiar with the idea I would recommend that you read Mobile VoIP (mVoIP) fordummies Today I am going to provide a simple tutorial on how to add a custom SIP provider inNimbuzz Nimbuzz is a leading SIP client for various mobile platforms including iPhone AndroidWindows Mobile Symbian Blackberry etc I will provide a complete review of the Nimbuzz applicationlater but meanwhile here is a tutorial that will help you started and make cheap of free internationalVoIP calls from your Mobile I am using an iPhone for this tutorial but you can easily follow this tutorialon any other platformYou can even use Nimbuzz on iPod TouchThe first step is to create an account and get Nimbuzz on your phone Everything is free so go aheadand do thatFire up Nimbuzz on your phone and enter your Nimbuzz login detailsAfter you login you will see multiple tabs Click on the Phone Calls tab and you will see the contacts inyour phone book If you havenrsquot added any SIP account you will only be able to use your Cell Phone tomake calls (see picture below)To add other accounts to your Nimbuzz profle click the ldquoCell Phone gtrdquo button so that you can add otheraccounts through which you can make calls You can make calls using your Cell Phone Skype andany other SIP accountIf you want to use Skype to make outgoing calls just click Skype and enter your Skype login detailsand you will be able to use Skype with your Nimbuzz ie you can chat your Skype friends call youronline friends for free and use Skypeout to make callsTo add any other SIP account select ldquoOther VoIP Accountrdquo Nimbuzz already has configured setting fora few providers ie you only have to enter your login details and nothing elseFor example if you want to add Gizmo5 account just click Gizmo5 and enter your login detailsBut if you want to add a custom SIP account select ldquoOther VoIP Accountrdquo and enter your accountdetailsYou can get the details from your SIP provider You can find the Jumblo SIP settings SmartVoIP SIPsettings ActionVoIP SIP settings and other Betamax SIP settingsOnce you have added the details you can select your SIP account to make callsJust enter the number and start talkinghellip

What do you mean by sip contact no Are you able to connect to

ActionVoIP at all

Could you send a screenshot of your SIP settings Alternatively you can also

reply here with the name of the field and your entry That will help me pinpoint the

exact error

the SIP account in Nimbuzz

i tried the settings but sip thru nimbuzz doesnt seem to work im using

smartvoip i had entered sip server as sipsmartvoipcom and domain also

sipsmartvoipcom Can you confirm whether this is correct

You can find the SIP settings of all Betamax Providers

(Rynga SmartVoIP ActionVoIP etc) here Leave the domain empty

or try smartvoipcom

Just make sure that you are entering the right details If that does not work try

reinstalling the app

You are right in pointing outNimbuzz does not offer this capability to

dial numbers after connecting the call This is obviously a huge problems for lot of

people who need to dial extensions or PIN numbers You can use a traditional SIP

client that will enable you to dial extensions or other numbers after connecting

calls

Thank you very much for that very descriptive tutorial I have managed to set

Jumblo sip settings in my Nimbuzz Mobile But there is a problem Whenever I make

calls i cant hear what the other person is saying but that person can hear me ie one-

way speech Any solutions for this problem Thanks in advance

and I cannot find a way to recharge my Action voip accountI get the option to buy credit

for Nimbuzz accountBut I want to know if there is a way to buy credit for my action voip

have to sign into your ActionVoIP account and recharge your account from there

I do not have a BB device to give you the exact instruction but the steps

should not be too different from other devices All you need to do is add a new

account and enter the Nymgo SIP settings

SIP Server Or SIP Proxy Server atanymgocom

SIP User ID nymgo username

Authenticate ID nymgo username

SIP password nymgo password

SIP Port 5060

Codec Used g729

STUN Server stunnymgocom

STUN port 80

Hy i have a SIP connection with incoming call facility i have configured it on

my Nokia 6120c everything is working fine but when someone dial me on my SIP

number it cannot reach to me its giving busy tone

But with Windows Mobile 6 i have tested i can receive calls but call quality is very poor

will anybody help me to resolve the issue

What client are you using on your Nokia 6120C Try using another

client The call quality issue on Windows Mobile may be due to codecs that you

client is using Once again try using a different SIP client and see if that help

In addition I will suggest that you try the service on a desktop SIP client That will

help you diagnose the issue
