Eventually, every SSPS provider (by provider number) who has a current authorization for service should receive a letter at the mailing address on the provider file. This letter will include the security token that corresponds to the provider number associated with the mailing address. You will need this token for the final step of this registration process. If you received a letter with your token but you no longer have it, please call SSPS Customer Service at 360-664-6161. Part 1: Create User Account on SecureAccess Washington (SAW) On your web browser, enter SAW URL: https://secureaccess.wa.gov. Once you get set up, you will always enter through SAW, so please save this link. Follow these instructions to ensure that your registration is completed successfully. If you are setting up more than one provider number using the same email address you will see this notice. You may continue creating another SAW account with the same email address.

Step 2: Create a user ID and Password

Enter a User ID you’ll use whenever

you log in to SAW

Click this box and follow the instructions on the pop-up window

When you see the green checkmark, then click NEXT

Step 3: Review information you entered in steps 1 and 2

After review, click NEXT to continue

Step 4: Your User ID is being created. Check your email for instructions on completing the process. Follow the email instructions.

Once your account is activated you will be able to log in to SAW

Success! You have completed the SAW registration and are ready to move on to Part 2:

Provider Portal registration.

Part 2: Provider Portal registration Once you log in to SAW you will see the My Secure Services screen

Click on Add a

New Service

Enter code 2795 here

and click APPLY

This is where you will need the Security Token you received in the mail. If you do not have

your Security Token you can call SSPS Customer Service at 360-664-6161.

If you have entered everything correctly you should see the message shown below. You will receive another email confirming this but from here you can click on the My Secure Services tab. This will start Part 3 of the process: Adaptive Authentication enrollment.

If, instead of the Service Registration Successful screen, you see the message below, please

send an email to [email protected]. Include

your SAW user ID,

the name you used to register,

your email address, and

the SSPS Provider Number you’re trying to register.

Please put “PORTAL REGISTRATION PENDING” in the subject line.

Part 3: Adaptive Authentication enrollment This process will be used whenever you sign in from a computer not recognized by the system or when the SAW security system determines it necessary due to a perceived risk. You will be required to set up three different methods of ‘authentication’: email, phone, and challenge questions. You may not be required to use these methods every time you log in and you may be given the option of selecting which authentication method you would like to use.

As stated at the beginning, whenever you want to access the SSPS Provider Portal you must enter from the SecureAccess Washington (SAW) log in screen: https://secureaccess.wa.gov

After log in you will be taken to this screen.

You may be required to go through an Adaptive Authentication Challenge.

The Authentication Methods on this screen refer to those you set up earlier.

If you select Email or Phone, SAW will either call the number you set up or send you an

email (depending on your selection) and provide a Confirmation Code.

If you select Challenge Questions you will be presented with one of the questions you set

up earlier.

When you enter the

Confirmation Code you

received by email or phone
