To run SSL VPN,
Visit http://sslvpn.uc.edu to get the Secure Access SSL VPN.
Once you pass the Central Login, click “Start” on the second entry called “Network Connect.”

Minimize the window after some files are copied and the UC network is connect. You have four hours in session.
Click Sign Out (a door icon above the Browse tab) near on the upper right corner when you are done with it.

To run Remote Desktop, click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> click Remote Desktop Connection

Input computer name ‘mem145-2’ in this case, then click Connect

From now on, login and work on it as if you were working at your desk in the office. (Actually you are working on your office computer, anything you will do will reflect on your office computer)

SymptomIf you are not an administrator and try to use the Remote Desktop Connection tool, you may receive the following error message:
The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively.
CauseThis issue occurs because the user account is not a member of the local Remote Desktop Users group.
