Michael has been involved in consumer internet since 1994, when he started and managed a digital interactive division for one of the largest ad agencies in the world. In 1997, he raised capital and launched Four Points Digital, where as the Co-founder and CEO, he stewarded strategy, financials and expansion, organically growing to 80+ people in under three years. After Four Points’ successful acquisition in 1999, he then worked in New York in men’s fashion and apparel as President of a private investment and operating group where he worked with their portfolio companies on business strategy, financial planning, product development, distribution and licensing. Back in San Francisco, while mentoring several consumer ecommerce companies and after studying the market and finding what he first perceived, then confirmed through research was an open opportunity, HonourMark was born. Technology is driving a fundamental transformation in retail, shifting power from the retailer to the consumer and disrupting the traditional wholesale-to-retail distribution model. Knowledge of and service to your consumer is paramount in the new model. Mike will speak about the opportunity he is pursuing in the men’s luxury apparel and accessories space and what they are doing to try to capitalize on the new consumer-driven paradigm in retail.
