Look out for our feathered friends

Activity sheet

Where should we start our adventure? Take a look around the marshes, near the pond, or along the shoreline. Remember, be very, very quiet! The reserve is carefully looked after by Devon Birdwatching and Preservation Society. You can spot many species from the edge of the marshes, but please don't enter the reserve area.

What shall we take with us? Bring the spotter list on the back of this sheet so you can check off everything you find. You might want some binoculars if you have them, but don't worry if you don't - lots of our birds can be spotted easily. If you need help from one of the National Trust team, just ask!

When can we have more adventures this year? Try rockpooling to find underwater creatures, or maybe creepy-crawlies on our bug hunts. You can also have a go at watersports with Surfin' Sam or challenge our rangers with beach games. We've lots of fun activities and games all year round and especially in the school holidays. To find out what's going on, you can ask one of the team, pick up a leaflet or check the website when you get home.
