  1. 1. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) During the opening of this film, it starts of a fade in shot of a POV shot of mountains peak tops and how they're above the cloud levels, also you can hear the sound of a voice of man speaking with the wind brushing against words about a high circulating rumor about the western leaders also while listening to these words. Also it kind of goes with what he is saying about high leaders or power to do with the mountain of how high they are and they don't get removed or anything because they are always there. This then links back to the audience with the motion and sense they get of how wise this person is speaking as if he knows so much about what is going to happen or, if he will tell the story this again is an enigma code that is given to the audience whether he will do so or not. The colour of fade in scene is black and falls into a black and white view of the Mise en scene of the mountains, the light isn't so bright, the clouds are heavy and dense, the saturation is probably very low, no editing taking place because it seems to be in a present place of an old western movie.
  2. 2. It fades out into a blank black screen for less than two seconds and graceful music comes on and the first thing you see is a tank and its cannon ready and moving toward yourself. Then cuts to a scene of a plan with a fading cut to the same plan but different angle. The view is as if its being seen from another plane that is above the plane the audience is looking at, all of this is in the sky and higher than the clouds, because its an old movie it makes me think that somebody is holding up those plans just by string and editing it to see as if they're planes while with edited captions of peoples names, coming up in white writing.
  3. 3. Columbia pictures Corporation presents A Stanley Kubrick Production, is the first caption that came up in the opening, this then represents what type of movie it is and what company it is made from, additional caption where peoples names, the movies name, the characters names and the actors names of who will be who, the art directors, camera operators, the wardrobe, production manager, camera assistant, assistant director, continuity are all included in this edit. Finally the cut scene ends with the film that was Directed and Produced by Stanley Kurbrick.
  4. 4. A quick recap of all of it was, it starts of with the mountain scenes above the clouds, fades in and out of the scenes from that peace to a war genre, the figure I got from this was because of the planes and tank, then you go high as the sky's are with still POV throughout the whole opening, while happening edited captions of peoples names came up and then finishes off with a faded cut.
