Research• To start with we looked

through quite a lot of already existing posters from a similar genre. From this knowledge we decided what would work and what wouldn't. We really took most our inspiration from the poster in 28 weeks later because of the composition with the face and eyes. It also made it very clear what the genre would be.

The poster• To replicate the poster

itself I took a photo of Mikey covered in blood and zombie makeup. We really liked the look of his face and thought it was very scary and striking. We decided that his face would look very good on the cover and then edited his face in Photoshop. We edited the colours to make them very vibrant with a contrast. It overall comes out with an abstract look.

• From looking at the layout of the poster we though having the text in the centre with the face around and the location and face partitioned was a good idea. This isn't a normal connotation for a poster but we liked how it looked and thought we should break the style.

• I then edited a TV static behind the title because this went with our original idea of the film, that they would find some old footage. We then played with the contrast and the colours to make a very ruined weird looking poster.

The magazine

• A lot of magazines are very different as in layout, style, colour scheme and even the main body of text. So we researched a few magazine reviews and chose our favourites. From this we decided what would look best for our double page spread.

• Overall we decided to just have a small piece of text in the corner with the rest of it mainly images. I really like the layout and style of it and I think the colour scheme looks really nice. We felt this was a more appropriate way to grab peoples attention. We included buzzwords to capture the attention of the audience and encourage them to read and look through.

The film• Our initial idea was

that the teenagers stumble across a film but we didn't have time for that so we resorted to a webside with images on, which does make the rest of the plans a hassle because it is quite glitchy in the poster so these don't really match up. Which is a bit of a downfall. This is one thing id like to improve if I had the chance

The film• While the film is a

horror/thriller I feel it doesn't have the scariest of outcome which I am slightly disappointed in. It is fun to watch but I don't think many people are scared by it. However I think I will put it down to the budget and timing. It is a student film after all and I think it would be hard to make similar to a big screen film.

The film• We just went

with the light hearted style though and find that it is very much over the top. For instance the head smash scene which we are all really proud of is a little far fetched with the over the top blood and mess everywhere. We

are pleased and think it is more interesting.

The film• One thing we

kept consistent was the main style with the glitchy static. Its on the cover, in the film and mentioned in the magazine. I really think this is an effective trademark as its not done that often in cinema.
