How Does Preval Work?The Patented PREVAL Design

Preval has a proprietary technology that makes a highly controlled atomized spray from any liquid. When the button is pressed, propellant and liquid are mixed and dispensed as a spray at the nozzle by action of the venturi effect. Liquid from the jar is pulled up the tube as propellant travels across the holes in the red insert (inside the button). The propellant and liquid do not mix prior to being dispensed out of the nozzle.

Stains, shellac or other water-thin products generally do not require any thinning. Use the thinner recommended by the manufacturer whenever thinning.

NOTE: For water-based paints and acrylics - thin at a 3:2 ratio. Remove container from power unit, add conditioner and shake before re-attaching to power unit.

Ford Windstar RecallFord is recalling about 425,000 of its 1999-2003 Windstar minivans because a front-subframe rust problem could cause steering problems. Who is Ford teaming with to make this recall a success? Preval. Ford is mandating in the recall, that dealers purchase a Preval sprayer to apply the coating. With Preval’s reputation for professional spray quality, this was an easy choice for Ford.

Tool requirements from Ford:

A Preval Spray Gun is required to apply PM-13-A Anti-Corrosion Coating. One spray gun cartridge will either complete four axle reinforcement repairs or complete 15 rear axle cleaning and inspections. Obtain from local hardware stores, home centers, etc. Research indicates spray gun is available at most Sherwin-Williams stores and some Home Depot stores. Reimbursement for spray gun is included in both Rear Axle Cleaning and Inspection and Axle Reinforcement Repair allowance. See Attachment I, Claims Preparation and Submission section.
