Why I chose this topic

I thought this was one of my best pieces of writing because I didn't really think I was biased.

I used good grammar, and I didn't have any comma spices.

Excerpt “Whether it’s conscious or subconscious, most people

tend to strive for popularity during their high school career. How does striving for popularity affect some people’s behaviors? Some people might ditch their friends and make their way up the food chain to befriend a “more popular” group. Others might try and get more involved with sports teams and school functions in hopes to befriend more popular students, while still being friends with their group. Why would someone go to all this trouble just to be popular? I mean, sure it’d be awesome to be admired, but I wouldn’t think everyone would want to be in the spotlight. Honestly I just think people want to be popular for security.”

Feedback

“ A very good look at your topic. I am curious, however, about which parts used the researched material. This, in fact, looks like it’s all you! As usual, it was quite well – written and insightful.”

How Did I Write This Article? Honestly I don't really think it's a bad thing

that Mr. Coffin couldn't tell what parts came from researched material. I just read a few articles and then sat down wrote out my thoughts. But maybe sometimes it wouldn't hurt to write a paper off of another article.

WHY MAGAZINE: FEMINISM

I chose this as another one of my best pieces of writing because:

• I really connected and was interested in what I was writing and researching about

•The article turned out niceand it was appealing to the eye

Page 8: How Does Popularity Influence Peoples’ Behavior?

How I Wrote This Article:

•What feminism is•If feminism is an “anti-men” group   •To what degree feminism is relevant•If feminism tied to violence against women•If feminism is only a women’s issue

This article was more of an informative article, I had to do research to get my information.

I wrote an outline, and wrote out questions to answer.

Some questions that I answered were:

Excerpt from “WHY Magazine: Feminism”

“Feminism has nothing to do with women hating men. Women pitting themselves against men and hating on men isn’t feminism. Taking out their anger on men for discrimination against race, class, sexuality and gender is not feminism. “

Feedback Since it was an online article, I didn’t get

much feedback.

If I did Mr. Coffin might have said I had cool pictures, but maybe not enough information.
