A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR RICK

Want to build some friendships and experience

more of God in your life? Let me invite you to

join a growth group!

Experiencing the power of the gospel is the theme

for this fall as we dive into the key truths of

the good news of Jesus championed in the

Reformation and then consider the upside down

paths Jesus taught which lead to a blessed and full

life. My desire for you this fall is that the good news of Jesus isn’t some-

thing you simply know about but it is something you are experiencing

changing who you are from the inside out.

There are a bunch of groups meeting this fall -- find one that works for

your schedule and sign up!

Looking forward to what God is going to do!

Growth Groups are groups of typically 8-12 people that meet at a home

or the church to grow in their relationship with God, build friendships,

and have fun. Groups meet once a week for 90 minutes or so. This fall

growth groups session is 11 weeks, going from the middle of September

to the end of November. Some groups because of breaks may go into the

first week of December.

TUES 06 - Tuesdays, 9 am Women’s Group

Location: CrossPoint Leader: Dana Czmowski Start Date: Sept 19

Study: Perfect Love by Lisa Harper

We all want to be known and loved. Though we can experience

deep relationships with others, there will always be a hole in our

hearts for the perfect love of Christ. But, what does that really

mean? How do we pursue intimacy with an invisible God? What

if we do not feel worthy of His love? Join us as we walk through

the Song of Solomon to answer those questions and more.

work to God’s work.

CHURCH-WIDE STUDY CAMPAIGN

This fall the Sunday Gathering messages and most growth groups will

be exploring five key truths that came out of the Reformation and four

surprising paths that lead one to experiencing the power of Jesus. We

will do the studies back-to-back for the fall growth group session.

There is something exciting about knowing that everyone around you

is thinking about, discussing, and wrestling with the same truth and

its implication for their lives. My hope is that this fall you discover

even more of the life, joy, and hope that God has for you in Jesus.

–Matt Troyer, Pastor of Groups & Outreach

Echoes of the Reformation by Kevin

DeYoung, Al Mohler, and Trevin Wax

Five hundred years ago Martin Luther nailed his 95

Theses to the door of All Saints Church in Witten-

burg, Germany. They called for the reform of the

church and served as the catalyst for the Protestant

Reformation.

We’ll start the fall with this 6-week video-based series

on the five core truths that came from the Reformation, commonly

called the solas. These five solas are intensely practical and relevant for us

today, laying down the foundation for our identity and what it means

to follow Jesus in our everyday life.

End of Me by Kyle Idleman

The second study we will do together is this 4-week

video-based series were we join pastor and bestsel-

ling author of not a fan, Kyle Idleman, as he explores

the Beatitudes and the upside down paths that lead

us to Jesus. This study features the true testimonies of

author and spoken word artist, Jefferson Bethke,

NBA star, Landry Fields, Founder and director of

Scarlet Hope, Rachelle Star, and former US manager

of Apple Records, Ken Mansfield.
