How do I export the Address Book to Excel?
The first step is to go to "Address Book Report" under Admin Only menu
Choose the fields you want.note that it does not export the flags for "hidden" fields, you need to include the “hide” field if your resident wants
information kept private
Then, click on "Create Text File".
Follow the instructions on the next screen to download the file to your computer. Please note the directory path where the file is being saved.
Now that we are done with the website, we turn to opening MS Excel on your computer. Once Excel is running, go to "File/Open" and make sure the "Files of Type" is "All Files".
A text import wizard should now appear
Make sure the "Delimited" options is selected and click on "Next".
Make sure the only the delimiter of "Comma" is check marked and click on "Next".
The final step should show every column as a "General" type so just click "Finish" to end the wizard process. You should now see the data in an Excel spreadsheet. Be sure to save this data again as an Excel file.
