How can design help to prevent domestic violence?

My purpose is present how does design to help the people who do domestic violence change their attitude. Domestic violence is a common problem in recent years. And is a significant social issue that has a major impact upon the health of people in society, both in physically and mentally.Nowadays, more and more people pay their attention to the domestic violence, as it brings a lot of damages for the family members on the body, sex and mentality and it belongs to one of the serious social problems (Whitehouse, 2014). At present, domestic violence has become a seriously social problem that cannot be neglected because it can greatly damage family members.

Methodology/Methods:

Though my research, I find a way to design. It uses the interviews�for example, ask friends how they feel and opinion to the domestic violence.� The questionnaires and the focus groups in order to figure out the reasons that give rise to domestic violence. From the research of domestic violence,it will be made in order to help people who engage in domestic violence change their attitude, the following actions could be taken. The first action is to make people who do domestic violence to realize the great harm to their family members due to their violence behaviors. The seconed one is that Ghimire et al (2015) has investigated the effect of mass education on domestic violence.

To help the people who do domestic violence change their attitude, many artists and designers have created some artworks to reflect the serious consequences of domestic violence behaviors. Here are four artworks created by designers to reflect the bad impacts of domestic violence.

1.Designer: Marco SantosFigure1 shows that the domestic violence just like the devils and it is very terrible. All of these can affect the society and the family a lot in the actual situations.

2.Designer: Daryna BarykinaFigure2 also is a work that reflects domestic violence behaviors. The work shows that a woman’s mouth has cracked. In her face, there are many cracks. This artwork reflects that domestic violence behaviors have seriously damaged women. Through this work, Daryna Barykina has told people about the serious consequences of domestic violence behavior.

3.Designer: Terri ThompsonFigure3 also is a work that reflects domestic violence behaviors. This artworks presents that the woman is taking her baby being away from her family and home. Therefore, people can know how the domestic violence affects the family. This artwork reflects that domestic violence behaviors have seriously damaged women and children. Through this work, Terri Thompson want told people about the serious consequences of domestic violence behavior.

4.Designer: Anne Cameron CutriFigure4 it presents reader that the children is being berated and from their family’s, people can know how poor they are and how they suffer due to the domestic violence. All of these catch people’s attention about the domestic violence. Through this art work, people can realize the serious harm of domestic violence behaviors, and then make the people who do domestic violence change their attitude.

Reflective process:

At present, domestic violence has become a seriously social problem that cannot be neglected because it can greatly damage family members. Under this condition, it is vital to help people who do domestic violence change their attitude. In order to help people who engage in domestic violence change their attitude, the following actions could be taken.Therefore, the proposal is aiming to explore the domestic violence, from which people can figure out the best ways to solve the issues. In a word, it is very necessary for people to deal with the domestic violence issues, as it can do a great help to many families and the females.

Conclusion:

In a word, it is very necessary for people to deal with the domestic violence issues, as it can do a great help to many families and the females. What is more, in the proposal, it should also try to create some suitable suggestions about the domestic violence. For example, people may need to learn more about the reasons of the domestic violence and then they can target at the right solutions.

Future research:

As this research continues, I plan to look at more details and information of how can design help to prevent domestic violence. For examples, about victim's attitude and how to solve the problem. About my project the next step is using graphic design do the poster, brochure, folder or booklet about domestic violence.
