HOW ARE YOU FEELING TODAY? If you’re feeling anxious, worried or even frightened today try one or two of these activities to help you relax: Make a playlist of quiet relaxing music. Listen to it. Allow your body to relax. Sit down and take deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose for 3 seconds, hold your breath for 3 seconds, then breathe out through your mouth for 3 seconds. Can you feel yourself begin to relax? Text or call an older adult. Chat about how you are both doing. Look for a book that you loved as a little kid. Read it again. Stand at a window. What do you see outside? What 5 things are you thankful for? Look for art supplies: coloured pencils, pens or markers, plain paper or colourful paper. Create something that you can put on your window to make people smile when they see it. Ball Toss Emotions

Help your child learn to identify their emotions with this simple activity.

Materials Needed: A beach ball (available at most dollar stores), and a permanent marker

Take a blown up beach ball and write as many emotion words as you can think of all over the ball. Have your child help you come up with these words. Then play a few rounds of toss with the ball. When you or your child/ren catch the ball, look at which emotion word is nearest to your left thumb, say the emotion word and then share a time you felt that emotion.
