Welcome to one of the most exciting Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival seasons ever, our 24th! With nearly 25 performances in as many days, we are pleased to be your summer concert destination this June.

Our ORCHESTRA SERIES boasts a group of exceptionally fine young musicians from major music schools throughout the world—all here on fellowship to experience the

life of a professional symphony musician under the leadership of four world-renowned conductors.

Each Saturday night in June our FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA will perform some of the greatest, and most ambitious, repertoire we’ve ever offered: Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, symphonies by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and Mahler, and major works by Strauss—Don Juan, Salome’s Dance of the Seven Veils, and the Four Last Songs. For an hour before each concert, enjoy our “Celebrations on the Plaza” with outdoor performances by Virtuosi of Houston and a sampling of Houston’s food truck culture. We are also thrilled to present a series of pre-concert lectures, Settling the Score, by noted musical experts who will contextualize the music repertoire and demystify the concert-going experience. Don’t miss the excitement!

Our PERSPECTIVES Series highlights outstanding chamber music performances by faculty artists and guests in the intimate space of Dudley Recital Hall each Tuesday night.

The YOUNG ARTIST SERIES features all the components of our festival programming: final performances by our Institute of Bel Canto Studies, Jazz Institute, Piano Institute, Classical Minds Guitar Festival and Competition, and Young Artist Chamber Music.

Join us often this June to experience the talent, passion, and excitement of classical music’s rising stars as they converge in Houston for a month of inspiring performances.
