LakewoodAlive administers a Housing Outreach Program which connects residents with resources to maintain the community’s aging housing stock. These services are designed to offer a one-stop place for residents to ensure they are able to live in healthy and safe housing:

• Working one-on-one with low-moderate income residents, many of whom are senior citizens, to connect them to resources, as well as to volunteer labor to complete necessary home maintenance.

• The Lakewood Tool Box, which offers community members an affordable and educational option for borrowing tools that are essential for completing home repairs.

• The Lakewood Pride Fund, a program that leverages a collection of funds to secure home repair loans for families who otherwise might not have access to conventional bank financing.

• The Paint Lakewood Program, a grant program for low-moderate income residents to assist with obtaining affordable exterior house painting.

• The Knowing Your Home educational series, which focuses on sustainability and maintenance best practices empowering homeowners to tackle necessary home repairs and improvements.

OUR MISSION | LakewoodAlive is a community centered non-profit that fosters and sustains vibrant neighborhoods. OUR VISION | Our vision is a welcoming community that thrives on engaged residents, desirable housing and an entrepreneurial spirit that connect in strong diverse neighborhoods to maximize quality of life.

Educational Workshops & Promotional Support: Offered educational workshops for small business owners covering topics like storefront renovation and search engine optimization, and increased marketing support through the creation of a Downtown Lakewood map.

Community-Based Special Events: Hosted five large-scale community events spanning 14 dates and drawing nearly 35,000 attendees to Downtown Lakewood.

Downtown Lakewood Business Alliance (DLBA): Continued to be an asset to the downtown district, assisting with everything from the Lakewood Chocolate Walk to the Downtown Lakewood Flower Blossoms Program.

Fostering More Vibrant Neighborhoods: Served as the fiscal agent for two Lakewood merchant groups: Uptown Lakewood and WE Lakewood.
