Maastricht are NOT furnished.The organizations below offer both
furnished and unfurnished accommodation.

1. Univers ity GuesthouseWe advise you to arrange housing via
the University Guesthouse, because there is ahigh probability to
find a room there as a MGSoG master student, and the rooms
arealready furnished.
To reserve a room, fill out the reservation form at University
Guesthouse website:http://www.unimaas.nl/guesthouseum/. At the
section Reservation information pleasechoose Maastricht Graduate
School of Governance in the box Faculty/study.
Please take note of the following UM Guesthouse rules:o You are
only allowed to reserve a room for half a year or the full duration
of
your study.o When the Guesthouse offers you a room and you agree
to take this room, you
enter into a contract (even though you have not signed
anything), so pleaseread all information on the website very
carefully!
o Should you break your contract, you have to pay an extra
months rent as afine.
o For applicants of the Maastricht Graduate School of
Governance, a surcharge of 2.50 per person per night is added to
the daily tariff of all rooms listed on thewebsite.
o Take your living expenses into account! Know that on average
half of your livingexpenses will be necessary for your housing.
2. MaastrichthousingMaastrichthousing is a cooperation between
three student housing organizations:Guesthouse UM, Kamerburo and
Stichting Studentenhuisvesting Maastricht. Its theirshared goal to
service housing for students, employees and guests from
MaastrichtUniversity, Hogeschool Zuyd and Jan van Eyck Academie.
These rooms can be rentedfor a period of min. three months, and a
deposit of 450 needs to be paid upon arrival
at the main reception of the UM Guesthouse.

3. Woonmanagement MaastrichtThis agency is also a very good
option. They have mostly unfurnished rooms, but inone of the many
second-hand stores you can easily buy furniture and other things
for
a good price. More details on renting a room can be found

4. Maasland BeheerThis housing agency mostly has unfurnished
rooms, but you can find a complete set offurniture for a good deal
in one of Maastrichts second-hand stores. If you choose tocontact
this agency for a room, please mention that you will be a student
at theMaastricht Graduate School of Governance. You can send them
an email and state
your wishes, so they can try to find a suitable room for you.
Keep in mind that you willhave to pay a registration fee of 25 for
looking at rooms and 35 for looking atrooms and apartments. Also,
after finding a suitable room, you will have to pay yourfirst month
of rent in advance, the deposit (1.5 x months rent), and commission
fees(months rent plus taxes).

5. Kamerburo (Rooms Agency)The Kamerburo is an initiative of the
Student Housing Foundation Maastricht. Thisfoundation is a joint
effort of various educational institutes in Maastricht and
threeMaastricht housing corporations. The Kamerburo helps students
find accommodation inand around Maastricht.The Kamerburo has data
on approximately 2,500 rooms offered by the housingcorporations. In
addition, many private owners offer their accommodation to
theKamerburo for mediation.All mediation takes place via the
website: www.kamerburo.net.
6. Hotel Randwyck
This is a hotel, but in a separate part of the hotel, there is
an International Guesthouse.The furnished units available are
duo-singles and standard singles. The units all have ashower and
toilet, telephone, colour television, internet connection and
refrigerator.Prices are around 25 per night.

9. KamernetKamernet.nl is a supply and demand website that
focuses on shared accommodation inthe Netherlands, enabling renters
and landlords to contact each other directly. The siteis simple to
use: a landlord offers a room; the registered members can react to
theroom, and the landlord selects the most suitable candidates
himself/herself. To applyfor rooms you need a premium membership (1
month for 19,95), but you canbrowse the room offer for free, after
you register online.

10. HousingAnywhereStudents that go on exchange and want to
subrent their room post their informationon HousingAnywhere.com.
This generally means that this type of accommodation isonly
available temporarily. Interested students can react to the offers
for free. It is ona student-to-student basis. Make sure to ask in
advance if the room is still available,ask for photos, NEVER pay in
advance for a room, and always ask if the one who issubrenting out
