You will be drawing one of the above style buildings – The paper is to be used to jot down your ideas. Including doodles of inspiration!

Requirements for your first project:• Your work must touch all four sides of the paper.• Your design must include overlapping (demonstrate in the front of, in

the middle, and behind your House, Home, or Dwelling).• Your time management is important! Today your are starting your

plan or jotting down ideas for your first project.• Use of the media(Art supplies) of your choice after your planning in

pencil must be correct and on grade level ability.• If you allow yourself to get behind you will have homework.• Some students will have modifications due to accommodations.

Your point of view and creativity matters to me!• Your skills will grow.• Your background information and knowledge is

different than anyone else's.• Everyone has different levels of skills using different

materials.• As you are planning your ideas think about the

materials that you need – if I do not know in advance…I can not get them for you.

Original Tipi’s were Portable

• Native Americans on the Plains would need them to collapse back down to move during seasons.

• Following game exertion made the temporary structures a source of getting out of the heat.

This example is far more on grade level. It shows layering (In front of, in the middle, and behind. It has a door and visible windows. The insets and plant life depict an environment.

exponent of Catalan Modernism. Gaudí's works have a highly individualized, one-of-a-kind!

Casa Batlló is the result of a total restoration in 1904 of an old conventional house built in 1877. Gaudí used for it the typical constructive elements of the Modernisme (Catalan Art Nouveau) that include ceramics, stone, and forged iron.

Familia is the most famous of Gaudí’s works – his masterpiece. This church has been in construction since 1892, and it’s not expected to be finished until 2026 — to commemorate the centenary of Gaudí’s death.Construction of Sagrada Familia started in 1882 under architect Francisco de Paula del Villar, but by 1883 Villar resigned, giving Gaudí the opportunity to take over as chief architect.With his own design language, Gaudí transformed the project from a typical cathedral to the masterpiece we know today. He combined Gothic with curvilinear Art Nouveau forms and his own geometric style.
