Welcome to HouseHunter, our local property & lifestyle magazine...Welcome to the April edition of our HouseHunter magazine. As ever, you will find a selection of some of the properties available, both for sale and to let, across our network of local offices.

Following on from the last issue, we are pleased to report that our Great Shelford team smashed both their mileage and fundraising targets (200 miles and £200) for their indoor cycle, to raise money for Comic Relief. They raised £675.22 in donations and cycled 301 miles. Well done to everyone who took part.

March saw the release of the Budget 2013, which included the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme and ‘Mortgage Guarantee’ scheme. The first expands a previous scheme, ‘FirstBuy’, enabling all purchasers to put down a 5% deposit on a newly built home, with up to 20% of the cost of the home funded by a shared equity loan, which will be interest-free for the first five years. The second extends the previous ‘NewBuy Guarantee’ scheme to include older houses as well as new-builds. The idea is that loans from High Street lenders would be underwritten by the government. It will be interesting to see if the supply of housing can meet any increased demand created by these schemes.

Our objectives are to teach all aspects of the game and use set criteria to assess all junior golfers and help you enjoy the game, develop and improve.

Meet the ProfessionalsThe Professional staff have always strived to help and encourage all junior golfers from beginner through to scratch player.

Through a series of structured coaching sessions with fully qualified PGA professionals to not only improve your game but to increase your enjoyment of this great sport. The three fully qualified PGA Professionals are always on hand to offer advice and guidance.

Andrew GeorGe

Andrew has been Head Professional at Ely City Golf Club for 20 years and was previously a junior member at the club. He is experienced in coaching golfers from all walks of life.

JAMie Le BrunJamie has been working at Ely City Golf Club for 10 years and was also a junior member at the golf club. Jamie has established himself as a coach and currently runs the popular junior golf days in the school holidays.

PAuL GeenPaul has been working as assistant at Ely City Golf Club for 8 years and has been PGA qualified for 5 years at AA status. Coaching golf is Paul’s true passion and he has helped numerous golfers achieve their golfing goals.

The CertificatesThe certificates are used as set criteria to assess the progress of the junior golfer. There are three stages, outlined below:

Bronze certificAte

Aims & objectives

� Carry a shot over 50 yards 3 out of 5 times

� Chip 3 out of 5 balls onto the green from 25 yards

� Play 7 holes on the putting green in less than 20 shots

SiLver certificAte

Aims & objectives

� Carry a shot over 100 yards within a 30 yard gap 3 out of 5 times

� Chip and 1 putt 3 out of 5 balls

� Play 7 holes on the putting green in less than 16 shots

GoLd certificAte

Aims & objectives

� Carry a shot over 125 yards within a 25 yard gap 3 out of 5 times

� Hit the green from a bunker in 3 out of 5 balls

� Play 7 holes on the putting green in less than 14 shots

Upon completion of the aims and objectives, the junior golfer will be asked 3 rules questions and 3 etiquette questions.

To gain the certificate they will need to get every question correct.

The level of difficulty will depend upon the grade (bronze, silver, gold).
