PICS Fellowships

• Initial competition occurred in Spring 2008• Eight awards, 2 each to the 4 universities• Competition for 2008-09 will be announced

shortly– Deadlines, criteria for application and adjudication are

in development– Will be changes from first competition– What follows is tentative & full info will be distributed

to Deans of Graduate Studies as soon as it is available

Fellowships for 2008-09

• Likely will have two different deadlines– Late fall for PhD students– Late spring for Masters students

• Eligibility: – Full-time enrollment in graduate program– Strong academic performance– Research in one of PICS priority areas for 2008-09

• Funding: up to $10,000• Will attend PICS workshop & present work,

network with other PICS researchers
