The Final Chapter

With half of the police force now dead, Shane Johnson has disappeared. But thingsget a little complicated when Detective Bobby Dagen comes onto the case to try to

stop the true madman once and for all.

-We open when HOUSE OF DOOM V ended.

-We hear Dr. Heffner closing the basement door on Shane.

-We hear Shane screaming through the door.

-We now see what is going on.

-We see Shane in the basement and he is searching for something touse to break free from the shackle

-He sees a heavy hammer in reach. He grabs it and begins smashinghis foot to break it.

-Shane snaps his foot and slides out of the shackle

HOUSE OF DOOM VI The Final Chapter



-We open when we see police officers entering the room in the policestation where Jill was killed in in HOUSE OF DOOM V

-A male detective named Cale Armstrong enters.

CALE:Oh my god. Someone call Bobby.

-A few moments later we see a male detective named Bobby Dagenentering.

-Another male detective, Brad Piggot begins talking to Bobby.

BRAD:Call came in at 11:45, no one heard from a few officers in a while so

one called us.

-Cale sees Bobby and approaches him.

CALE:Bobby.

BOBBY:Shane Johnson. Where is he?

CALE:We don't know yet.

-We see Jill's dead body still strapped in the chair.

BRAD:She's been identified as Jill Tuck.

BOBBY:Oh shit. Cale, we got to find Shane and we got to find him fast.



BRAD:What can I do?

BOBBY:

We're going to need communications for this.

BRAD:I'm on it. But don't forget I got the Wakefield Survivor Group tomorrow.

30 minutes of face time with other survivors.

CALE:Nothing more exciting than that.

BRAD:No.

BOBBY:I say we announce to the public that Shane Johnson is dead so peopledon't worry anymore. It’s going to take some time but we’ll find him.

-We see Natalie from HOUSE OF DOOM III walking into a church.-We hear a woman named Gina talking as Natalie is sitting down in a

survivor group meeting.

We see Gina, Natalie, and Brad in a circle

-The leader of the group is named Evan Holden. He claims to be aWakefeild survivor but he is a liar.

GINA:Every night I keep thinking that things will get better the next morningI wake up. But it isn't. Everything I do, everything I see, they remind of

what I went through. What he did to me.

EVAN:Gina, go on. Please. You're in a safe place now. Tell me what happened

next.



-We cut to a flashback where see Shane walking out the Wakefieldhouse right after he killed J.D.

-Gina is walking down the street, the killer appears and drags heraway,

-We cut back to present time

EVAN:Gina look at me. You were strong enough to get away. How does that

make you feel?

GINA:Free. I didn't even think something like that could occur, until the

moment it did. It was live or die and I chose to live. It was the bestthing that ever happened to me.

NATALIE:It's a bunch of bullshit. You want to know the best thing that happened

to me after almost dying?

-We flashback to Shane stabbing Natalie in HOUSE OF DOOM III

-We cut back to present time

NATALIE:Is handicap parking at the damn mall!

-Natalie notices cameras filming the meeting.

NATALIE:What the hell are the cameras here for anyway?

EVAN:I'm simply here to illustrate the fact that a traumatic experience such

as the one each one of us has been forced to endure can have a



positive outcome.

NATALIE:Oh yeah? Like what?

EVAN:A new perspective on life. I know, I understand that you're not quite atthat place yet. I get that and I respect that. But take a look at all thesepeople who were attacked. Eventually we all found something positivefrom our experience. We should never be ashamed of what we've gone

through because we are good and we are strong! You know what, I'dlike everybody to have a look at something right here.

-Evan unbuttons his shirt and shows everyone his scars on his chest.

EVAN: These are my scars. Because our minds will heal, but these scars will

never go away, these scars should not be a symbol of shame, theyshould be worn as a badge of courage. You know earlier I spoke of

valuing your loved ones. But to be quite honest was something I neverdid prior to my ordeal. But since then, I have found someone who has

truly become my rock.

-We hear clapping but we do not see who is clapping.

-A mysterious man who is sitting in the shadows is the one whoseclapping. He is a fellow survivor but we do not see who it is.

MYSTERIOUS MAN:Bravo. To be able to sustain such a traumatic experience and yet find

the positive in that grisly act, is a remarkable feat indeed.Remarkable...

-He walks out of the shadows, revealing Dr. Heffner.

HEFFNER:If not a little perverse. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say



how grateful we are to be apart of your promotional DVD.

-Heffner begins clapping again, the rest of the survivor group beginsclapping.

-We cut to a flashback

-We see Evan sitting in the bar watching the news reporter aboutWakefeild survivor

SURVIVOR: (on TV)As wrong as this may seem, Im better for endruing it. And I wish the

same for everyone like me.

EVAN:If someone doesn’t need something like that to change their

perspective on life..I don’t know what will.

ROB: Yeah, and if those people weren’t so fucked up after their games,

they’d make amends selling their stories.

-We cut to another flashback

-We see people at a book signing.

We see Evan wrote a book called "S.U.R.V.I.V.E: My Story Of Overcoming John Wakefeild"

-A woman named Sara approaches the booth where Evan is signing

EVAN:Maam, your name?

SARA:Sara. Without an "H". I just want to say I love your book so much. I justthink I could feel everything you went through. I feel like I changed my



life.

EVAN:I appreciate that maam. I really do. Thank you.

-Evan signs her book. She walks away. A book is thrown on the table.We see it is John's turn.

EVAN: Your name, sir?

JOHN: John. With an "H", without an "H", doesn't matter.

EVAN:We'll go John with an "H" this time.

JOHN: Quite an army working for you here, don't you think? Must bespreading a pretty good word.

EVAN:Well we try to reach as many people as possible, you know?

JOHN: You don't see anything wrong with that?

EVAN:Uh no. No sir, I don't.

JOHN:History is a passion for me. In ancient Egypt if you were speaking

under oath you're required to say "If I'm lying, take me to thequarries." Does that mean anything to you?

EVAN:No sir, no sir it doesn't.



JOHN:Well I'll tell you what it means. It means if you knowingly lied on a

public record you're a subject to a period of enslavement.

EVAN:What are you implying here, sir?

JOHN:I'm not implying anything.

-Evan's publisher approaches. His name is Rob.

ROB:

Move along, buddy he signed your book.

JOHN: Thanks for the signature. Nice picture.

-John takes the cover off the book and throws it on the table

JOHN:But I don't need it. We've met.

-John walks away with his book without a cover.

-Flashback ends.

-We cut to the next morning when we see a ceremony is being held forall the officers who died.

-At the ceremony, we see photos of JD, Koules, Tapp, Cowan, Erickson,Palmer, Gibson, and Rogers.

CALE:I want to thank you all for coming here today. And I'd like to be the firstto say that the Wakefield murders are over. The officers who gave their

lives are being honored today. But today I'd like to offer a specialhonor to the detective who came on this case just recently but proved



through hard work and dedication that the people who died did not diein vein. Today we honor the newly promoted, Detective Lt., Bobby

Dagen.

-Bobby walks up to the podium.

-We see Dr. Heffner is there sitting in the crowd.

BOBBY:Um, thank you. Thank you very much. Throughout this ordeal if we'velearned anything it's that human life is sacred. And we've learned that

everyday life should be cherished. Justice is the backbone to everypeaceful society. And I believe that true justice has been served.

-We see Brad walking into his office.

-He sees an envelope with his name on it.

-He opens it. It is a note that reads "I Know Who You Are"

-Brad leaves his office.

-We see Brad arriving at the morgue.

BRAD:Can I have a word with you?

HEFFNER:What?

BRAD:Is this your idea of a joke?

HEFFNER:What are you talking about?

-Brad shows Heffner the note.



HEFFNER:I didn't write that.

BRAD:Well you and Natalie are the only ones who were-- Natalie. Here. Keep

this here with you. I can't afford to have them find it on me.

-Brad gives Heffner the note.

BRAD:Now it’s time for you to talk about it.

HEFFNER:What? To you?

BRAD: Just somebody who understands.

HEFFNER:Oh, you understand? That’s a laugh. What do you understand? Yeah, it

hurts. And hurt turns into rage. And the rage grows and grows

BRAD:I’m sorry.

HEFFNER:Do you have any idea what Hell is?

BRAD:No.

HEFFNER:No. You grow numb. You lose the ability to feel. You learn to mimic

feeling so people would think you’re just like them but you’re not. Youlook for ways to get stronger and stronger. With that feeling, to feel

human, you know, hunting for that feeling. You say to yourself it’s just



a game. It’s harmless and you’ll never really do it. Then one day....oneday.

BRAD:

Look, I don’t have time for this right now.

-Brad leaves.

-We see Natalie in her apartment.

-We cut to a flashback where Heffner is walking out of the house afterlocking Shane in the basement.

-The two mysterious people in the killer costumes are waiting outside,they remove their masks revealing it to be Natalie and Brad.

HEFFNER:Don't worry it's taken care of. Brad just make sure your guys don'tcome back to the house for a while. I want to give him time to die.

BRAD: You got it.

NATALIE:So what do we do now?

HEFFNER:What we should have done to begin with. Give this town a run for it's

money.

-Flashback ends.

-We see Bobby in the police station.-Brad enters.

BRAD:Bobby, we got another body. Looks like another Wakefield victim. You



up for this?

BOBBY: Yeah.

-We see Bobby and Brad at a crime scene.

-We see the body of a male, Ryan, who was stabbed in the chest.

-We cut to a flashback.

-We see Ryan walking out of an apartment.

-Natalie shows up at the doorway.

NATALIE:See you later.

RYAN:Bye. I'll be over tomorrow.

-We see Ryan walking out of the apartment building.

-The killer appears.

-Ryan fights the killer.

RYAN:I'm gonna kill you! I'm gonna kill you!

-The killer slices Ryan's arm and then stabs him in the chest.

-The killer removes the mask, revealing Dr. Heffner's face.

-Flashback ends.

BRAD:



We need to find Shane Johnson. I need to find out what is going on. Hekilled Jill why is he still going?

BOBBY:

I’m not so sure he did. So far this doesn’t match his pattern

BRAD:Are you saying there’s a possibility of a copycat?

BOBBY:Could be. Brad, I need to work on this case alone.

BRAD:

Excuse me?

BOBBY:No offense, I think you are a great detective. But I work better on cases

like this on my own.

BRAD:Okay. Whatever you say.

-We see Evan walking out of the church

-The killer appears and cuts Evan's leg

-The killer drags Evan back in the church

-The killer stabs Evan to death.


-We cut to a flashback.

-We see Erickson finding her barely alive in HOUSE OF DOOM III

ERICKSON:



I need immediate medical assistance. 1293 Sandburst Drive.

-We see Natalie getting pulled into the hospital on a gurney.

-We see Dr. Heffner approaching the gurney.

HEFFNER:I got this one. What happened.

EMT:She was stabbed. I would say she's lucky to be alive.

HEFFNER:

Very lucky.

-We see Dr. Heffner healing Natalie up.

HEFFNER: You are going to be just fine.

NATALIE: Thank you.

-Flashback ends.

-We see Dr. Heffner at the morgue.


-We see John and William at a opening party for a drug clinic.

JOHN:I want to thank you for sponsoring this party, William, and I know how

much the clinic appreciates it.

WILLIAM:So I hear Jill's pregnant.



JOHN: Yeah, we're having a little boy.

WILLIAM:Any names picked out yet?

JOHN:We're thinking Shane.

WILLIAM: That's a nice name.

JOHN: Thanks. She wanted a girl so she could name her Scarlett but nope it's

a boy.

WILLIAM: You guys are going to be a very happy. I just know it.

JOHN: Thank you.

-We see John going outside and seeing Jill getting beaten by thehomeless man who attacked Gibson in HOUSE OF DOOM V.

-The homeless man runs away.

-John carries Jill in the hospital.

JOHN:I need some help here. This is my wife, she's pregnant.

NURSE:How far along is she?

JOHN:



Seven months.

-The nurse takes Jill into a room.

-We see Dr. Heffner entering the lobby where John is waiting.

HEFFNER: John Wakefield?

JOHN: Yes.

HEFFNER:

Dr. Heffner.

JOHN:Nice to meet you.

HEFFNER:We need to deliver the baby right away.

JOHN:What's wrong?

HEFFNER:He's going into distress. We need to get him out of there.

JOHN:Okay.

-A few moments later we see John holding Shane. We see Dr. Heffnerwalking in.

HEFFNER: John, can I talk to you alone.

-John and Dr. Heffner walking out of the room.



HEFFNER:I need to talk to you about Shane.

JOHN:What's wrong with him? Is he—

HEFFNER:Oh no, nothing like that.

JOHN: Then I don't understand.

HEFFNER:I called Child Services. They're taking him away from you.

JOHN:What are you talking about?

HEFFNER: You guys don’t seem like the kind of people who can handle this. With

you enginerring and Jill’s clinic finally opening, I just don’t think youguys are ready. And neither do they.

JOHN:Oh you can't do this to me. I've been waiting seven months for him. Do

you know how much I sacrificed!? Oh, doc. Please.

HEFFNER:I'm sorry. I just don't want him to suffer.

JOHN:Suffering? You haven't seen anything yet. You can't hide. This game

has a new design. Fear, suffering, death.

-Flashback ends.



-Brad enters the mourge.

BRAD:

I've just been taken off the case.

HEFFNER: You were supposed to make sure they didn't find out about him.

BRAD:I know. I’m sorry.

HEFFNER:No. No your not. Not yet

-Heffner takes a scapel and slices Brad's neck and hides his body in abody bag.


-We see Jill walking in the Wakefield house.

-Jill sees Heffner’s picture.

-John appears.

JOHN:I asked you not to come here.

JILL:I need to talk to you. John, John! What is this? Hmm? And why do you

have Dr. Heffner’s picture? What have you done to him?

JOHN:I told him not to take life for granted.



-We cut to another flashback within the flashback

-We see Dr. Heffner walking in the abandon warehouse from HOUSE OFDOOM II

-John walks in the room.

JOHN:Dr. Heffner. What are you doing here?

HEFFNER:When you helped me, you said that if I ever needed a purpose in life

again, to find you.

JOHN: Yes.

HEFFNER:I lost my family. They think I am too crazy to be around my daughter. I

need you to show me what life means again.

JOHN:Welcome, you will live again. I promise.

-Both flashback ends

-Bobby walks in.

BOBBY:Excuse me, Dr. Heffner?

HEFFNER: Yes.

BOBBY:I'm Detective Bobby Dagen. Can I ask you a few questions?



HEFFNER:Sure.

BOBBY:

You examined all of the Wakefield victims, is that correct?

HEFFNER: Yes.

BOBBY:Does the name Natalie Fisher mean anything to you?

HEFFNER:

I fixed her up when she was attacked. That's about it.

BOBBY:Do you know where she is now?

HEFFNER:No. Why? Something wrong?

BOBBY:I think she might be in danger. Shane Johnson is still out there

somewhere and chances are he is trying to find her.

HEFFNER:I don't know where she is.

BOBBY:Well thank you anyway for your time.

HEFFNER:Not a problem.

-Bobby exits.

-Heffner pulls out a knife and leaves.



-We see Gina from the survivor group walking out of the church.

-The killer appears behind her, drags her and stabs her rapidly.


-There is a knock on the door.

-Natalie answers. It is Dr. Heffner.

NATALIE:What are you doing here?

HEFFNER:I need to talk to you.

NATALIE:What about?

HEFFNER:Brad. He's dead.

NATALIE:What?

HEFFNER:And now I am here to kill you. Most people are so ungrateful to be

alive. But not you. Not anymore.

-Heffner takes out a knife.

-Heffner holds Natalie against the wall and he stabs her to death.

-Heffner takes something out of his pocket and places it in Natalie'shand.

-We cut to a flashback to see Dr. Heffner sitting in his office writing the



"I Know Who You Are" note.

-Later we see Bobby knocking on Natalie's door. He busts it down.

BOBBY:Natalie Fisher? Are you in here? This is the police.

-Bobby discovers Natalie's dead body

-He sees the "I Know Who You Are" note in her hand and a picture of awarehouse.

-We see Bobby arriving at the warehouse.

-The killer appears and knocks him out.

-We see Bobby waking up in a cage that is suspended in the air.

BOBBY:Help!

-We see there is a platform of spikes on the ground right under thecage.

-Bobby pulls a string outside of the cage, and then the bottom of thecage opens.

-Bobby drops and hangs from the bottom of the cage. He swings fromthe cage past the platform of spikes.

-Bobby goes to the door and walks out of the room.

-We see Dr. Heffner pulling up at the Wakefield house.

-We see Dr. Heffner walking in the house.



-Dr. Heffner opens the basement door and turns on the light.

-Dr. Heffner walks down the stairs to see Shane's dead body up againstthe wall.

-We cut to a flashback to Shane breaking his foot and sliding out of theshackle.

-We see Shane crawling up the stairs and gets to the door, he turns theknob it is locked.

SHANE:Heffner!

-We see Heffner is still in the house and hears Shane trying to open thedoor.

HEFFNER:Fuck.

SHANE:Heffner!

-Heffner opens the basement door, he does not see Shane.

-Shane was hiding on the side of the stairs and pushes Heffner downthe stairs.

-Heffner takes Shane's leg and drags him down the stairs

-Heffner and Shane fight.

-Heffner hits Shane's legs and walks up the stairs.

SHANE: You bitch! You're nothing bitch! You're nothing! Your nothing. I’ll

fucking kill you!



-Heffner turns around and walks down the stairs, He pulls out a knifeand slits Shane's throat.

-Heffner walks up the stairs. Shane is dead.

-Flashback ends.

-We see Bobby opening a door and walking into a room.

-Inside the room is a TV and a bunch of photos of Heffner.

-Bobby sees a video tape. He plays the video tape in the TV.

-On the tape is John.

JOHN: (on tape)Hello Shane. My apologizes for exposing you and your mother to thiskind of treatment. But I can assure you it is not without reason. The

man before you just made the sacrifices to save the life of a loved on.However when given the opportunity to save our family's life, he chose

not to. Now you will be given the power to save a life. Will you grantthis man the opportunity to continue living or will you dispense the

same death sentence he issued our family. Live or die. The choice isyours.

BOBBY:It's not Shane’s game.

-We see Bobby arriving at the house. Bobby goes inside.

-We see Dr. Heffner going out back and we see a cellar.

-Dr. Heffner goes down in the cellar while Bobby is searching thehallways in the house.

-We see a body sized device in the cellar.



-We see Bobby going outside and seeing a cellar door open. He goesdown into the cellar

-He sees Dr. Heffner next to the holding device

BOBBY:I got you now, Heffner.

HEFFNER:Do you?

BOBBY:Where is Shane Johnson?

HEFFNER:Oh you haven't found him yet. He's locked in the basement. Dead as a

fucking doornail. I couldn’t afford to have him running around like achild anymore. He caused too many problems.

-Bobby and Heffner fight.

-Bobby locks Heffner in the holding device.

-We see a tape next to the holding device.

-Bobby grabs it and presses play.

JOHN: (on tape)Hello Dr. Heffner. Right now you're feeling helpless. This is the same

helplessness you've bestowed onto others. But now it's onto you. Sincethe beginning, you have watched others suffer. Now it is your turn to

play.

-FLASHBACKS

-We see Dr. Heffner showing John a picture of Shane



HEFFNER:Your son. Shane Johnson. He'll be perfect.

-We see Shane taking out the trash with John watching him

SHANE:Can I help you with something, chief.

-We see Shane locking J.D.'s body in the shackle

JOHN:You think you will walk away untested?

-We see Shane trying to escape the head contraption

JOHN: Act immediately on my behalf.

-We see Heffner locking the door on Shane in the basement.

HEFFNER:Most people are so ungrateful to be alive. But not you. Not anymore.

FLASHBACKS END

JOHN: (on tape) The last piece of the puzzle is you.

-We see a blade come down and cut Heffner's stomach.

JOHN: (on tape)All of my work has been leading to this.

-We see a blade cutting Heffner again and again

BOBBY:Game over.



-Bobby walks away and leaves the cellar and closes the cellar door.

-A blade cuts Heffner a final time as he dies.

-We see his intestines falling out.

-Screen cuts black.
