HOUSE OF DOOM

PART II

Shane Johnson is seemingly the last survivor in a streek of murders. With

Detective Robert Tapp joining the case, a new round of killings has begun.

-We open when we see blackness and we hear the last moments of

HOUSE OF DOOM. But we do not see it.

SHANE:

Game over.

-We hear the door closing and Shane locking the door.

-We now see what is going on.

-We hear the door unlocking and opening.

We hear footsteps going down the stairs.

-When Shane gets to the bottom of the stairs,

Raven is gone.

-Shane is looking around for a moment.

Raven comes up behind Shane and starts fighting him.

RAVEN:

Why are you doing this?

SHANE:

Come on, Raven. Haven't you figured it out yet? Shane Johnson? John's

son.

-He looks behind Raven

SHANE:

Hey dad.

-Raven turns around. John is right there.

He takes a knife a stabs Raven in the back.

JOHN:

Time to ring the bell.

HOUSE OF DOOM II

-We open when we see EMT's, and police at the Wakefield house.

-We see Shane arriving at the scene.

-There is caution tape up. Shane approaches.

Detective Mark Koules stops him

KOULES:

Sir, I'm sorry you need to stay back.

-EMTs are bringing out J.D.'s body.

SHANE:That's my brother.

-Another cop, Detective Robert Tapp approaches.

TAPP:

You're Shane?

SHANE:

Yeah.

TAPP:

Detective Robert Tapp, city homicide. Come on.

-Shane goes past the caution tape with Tapp

SHANE:

What happened?

TAPP:

J.D. was murdered.

SHANE:

I can see that, who did it?

TAPP:

We don't know yet. But I promise you I will keep you updated on this

investigation.

SHANE:Good, thank you.

TAPP:

I just want to ask you a few questions if that's okay

-We see Shane sitting in an interrogation room

-Tapp enters the room.

TAPP:

Okay the bodies that were found were Monica Rose, J.D. Dunn, and an

unidentified male. Do you recognize him?

-Tapp shows Shane a picture of Wade.

SHANE:

That's Wade. He moved away from here three years ago. He just came

back into town a couple days ago. And that's when the murders

started.

TAPP:

Okay. Well thank you so much for your time.

SHANE:

No problem. Tapp, you keep me posted.

TAPP:

Will do.

SHANE:

Good.

-We see Shane walking into an abandon building.

He enters a room where John Wakefield is sitting in eating a bowl of

Cheerios

JOHN:

Where have you been, you were supposed to just check out the scene

and come back. What happened?

SHANE:

I had to get interrogated. They don't know anything.

JOHN: Good.

-Shane is looking at a picture of him and Raven

JOHN:

You cared for her.

SHANE:

She was harder than the others.

JOHN:

She served her purpose, nothing else matters.

SHANE:

I know. Let's go.

JOHN:

No. We're not done yet.

SHANE:

There is a detective that you should be aware of. His name's Tapp.He's smart, he's gonna get closer.

JOHN:

I know who he is. I need you to lead him to someone for me. A miner. A

digger who needs some digging.

-The next day we see Shane arriving at a mine site.

-Shane walks up to a miner. His name is Paul.

PAUL:

Can I help you?

SHANE:

I'm looking for Harry Warden.

PAUL:

He's down Tunnel Five.

-Shane walks down Tunnel Five.

We see a miner working. His name is Harry.

SHANE:

Excuse me? Are you Harry Warden?

HARRY:

Yeah. Who are you?

SHANE:

You don't know me, but my name is Shane Johnson. I knew Wade.

HARRY:

Wade?

SHANE:

Your son.

HARRY:

How do you know him?

SHANE:

I'm his friend. Well sort of. He came back to town a couple days ago.

HARRY:

Is that right? How is he?

SHANE:He's dead.

HARRY:

What are you talking about?

SHANE:

He was murdered. Him, my girlfriend, my brother, and our friend

Monica. The killer is still unknown so far.

HARRY:

Well the person you should call is Detective Tapp.

TAPP: (v. o)

He didn't have to, Harry.

-Tapp is walking in.

HARRY:

You have no business here.

TAPP:

Oh, I think I do. When was the last time you seen your son?

HARRY:

Three years ago. Before he left.

TAPP:

So you haven't seen him at all since he came back?

HARRY:

No.

TAPP:

So you had no idea that he was a suspect for the murder of Monica

Rose?

HARRY:

Monica? You think Wade killed Monica?

TAPP:

Well we did. Up until we found him dead last night along with some

other bodies. And I know you have a history for being charged with

murder.

SHANE:

What?

TAPP:

Long story.

HARRY:

What exactly are you saying, Detective?

TAPP:

I'm saying I think you know something that you're not telling me.

-We see Shane in the building later that night.

JOHN:

How did everything go today?

SHANE:

Pretty good. Tapp is thinking Harry's responsible

JOHN:

Good. There are some things I need you do for me. In my desk, in thecenter drawer. An envelope, with your name on it.

SHANE:

Do I open it, now?

JOHN:

No. Not yet.

-We cut to a flashback.

We see Shane knocking on the basement door before he opens it and

walks down the steps.

John is down there waiting.

JOHN:

Put his left leg in the shackle

-Shane drags J.D.'s body across the basement floor.

-We see John pulling out a tape player from his pocket.

-We see Shane putting J.D.'s foot in the shackle

JOHN:

It's time to start our game.

-Shane takes a tape out of his pocket.

-John hands him the tape player.

-Shane puts the tape in the tape player and sets it on the ground.

JOHN:

It's time.

-John begins walking up the stairs.

JOHN:

Close the door behind you.

-Shane walks up the stairs.

He stands at the top of the steps.

He turns off the light and closes the door.

-We cut back to present time.

-We see Shane looking at a picture of Paul

SHANE:

Well I am going to go take care of someone else.

JOHN:

Okay.

-We see Shane getting in the killer costume.

-We see Paul is still working at the mine that night. No one is else but

him

-He hears a noise in the distance.

PAUL:

Hello?

-We see the killer walking towards Paul.

-The killer picks up a pick axe.

-Paul notices the killer.

PAUL:What do you want?

-The killer puts the pick axe right through Paul's eye.

-The next morning we see police and EMT's at the crime scene

TAPP:

What the hell happened here?

KOULES:

Harry Warden?

TAPP:

No, he was locked up all the station all night.

KOULES:

Then it has to be him. It has to be John Wakefeild.

-We see Shane is evesdropping.

TAPP:

Now you listen to me, Mark, John Wakefeild is dead.

KOULES:

Are you sure?

TAPP:

Im postive.

-Shane walks up to Tapp.

SHANE:

Detective Tapp

TAPP:

Shane, what are you doing here?

SHANE:

I was wondering if you know who did this yet?

TAPP:

Oh. No, sorry. Not yet. But when I find something out I will let you

know.

SHANE:And I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute. Alone.

TAPP:

Sure. We'll go by my car.

-Tapp and Shane walks towards Tapp's car.

TAPP:

What do you want to talk to me about?

SHANE:

What if the killer is John Wakefield.

TAPP:

Impossible. He's dead. Trust me. I remember the day he died like it

was yesterday.

SHANE:

How did he die?

TAPP:

About fifteen years ago, I respond to a 911 which happened to be the

Wakefeild woman's attack. But when we got there she was already

dead. So we looked in the basement where we seen John Wakefeild

standing over his dead father's body. And I had my new partner with

me and he shot him. So I reported him and he went to jail for murder.

SHANE:

Harry Warden.

TAPP:

Yes. He was sentenced to twenty five years but it reduced to five on a

technicality

-Later that night we see Detective Mark Koules walking into his home.

-He sets his keys down.

-The killer is standing right there.

KOULES:

Can I help you, pal?

-The killer raises a knife. He cuts Koule's arm.

KOULES:

Fucker!

-Koules punches the killer

-The killer stabs Koules in the side four times.

-We see Harry is doing research on the computer.

-He searches "Shane Johnson". It reads "No Criminal Records Found"

HARRY:

I know you know something. Don't worry, I'll find you.

-We see Shane walking into the abandon building.

JOHN:

Where have you been all day?

SHANE:

Why didn't you tell me about Tapp and Harry?

JOHN:

It was a long time ago. Besides, if you're good at anticipating the

human mind, it leaves nothing to chance.

SHANE:

Yeah.

-We cut to a flashback. This takes place one year ago

-We see Shane taking out trash to a dumpster.

He sees John standing there.

SHANE:

Can I help you?

JOHN:

I hope you can, Shane.

SHANE:

Who are you?

JOHN:

Your real father. Henry Dunn adopted you. And I have been searching

my whole life for you. I can show you everything you need to know.

SHANE:

What are you talking about?

JOHN:

Have you ever been so angry at someone that you wanted to just kill

them?

-We see Shane sees a man by the dumpster.

John hands Shane a knife and Shane goes up and kills the man.

-We cut back to present time

-We see John and Shane in the abandon building.

JOHN:So what is the status? Does Tapp still think it was Harry?

SHANE:

No. He believes you're dead but he doesn't think it was Harry.

JOHN:

It's time.

SHANE:

Are you sure?

JOHN:

Yes.

-Shane gets out phone and dials number

SHANE:

Detective Tapp? It's Shane Johnson. I think I may know whose doing

this. Meet at the Hanniger Mine in twenty minutes. Okay. Thank you.

-We see Tapp pulling up in his car to the mine. Shane is standing there,

waiting.

TAPP:

Where is he?

SHANE:

He's in Tunnel Five. He's wearing a mask though.

TAPP:

Okay, let's go.

-Shane and Tapp walk down Tunnel Five.

The mine is empty.

TAPP:

Well, where is he?

SHANE:

Right here.

TAPP:

What?

SHANE:

That's right. I'm a murderer

TAPP:

What are you doing, Shane?

SHANE:

Coming clean. It's time to start a new life. I feel your my friend now.

You deserve to know before I... Look it's not like I killed them all by

myself. My dad did some stuff too.

TAPP:

Your dad is dead, I went to his funeral.

SHANE:

Oh no man, not that guy. Not that liar. No. My real dad. John Wakefield.

He's the only person whose told me the truth. I decapitated Wade

Warden, I killed JD, I even killed that miner Paul Leahy the night Harry

was in jail. Pretty exciting stuff.

TAPP:

You're insane.

SHANE:

John Wakefield's right behind you.

TAPP:

How stupid do you think I am?

JOHN:

Pretty stupid.

-Tapp turns around.

John is standing right there.

TAPP:

You're alive.

JOHN:

No thanks to you.

TAPP:

My god. So you two are in this together?

-Harry enters

HARRY:

I fucking knew it.

SHANE:

Oh, you got to be shitting me.

TAPP:

Harry? What are you doing here?

HARRY:

John, you left this in your car.

-Harry hands John an envelope that has Shane's name on it.

JOHN:

Thank you.

TAPP:

What the fuck is going on here?

HARRY:

I've been trying to find this bastard for the last two days. Now, I'mgoing to kill him.

-Harry punches Shane

Shane and Harry begin fighting

-Tapp and John begin fighting

TAPP:

You motherfucker!

-Shane continues fighting Harry.

Shane pulls out a knife and stabs Harry in the back

-Harry falls on the ground, dead.

-Shane comes behind Tapp and knocks him down.

SHANE:

You want him, dad?

JOHN:

Stand him up.

-Shane grabs Tapp and stands him up.

Shane is standing behind Tapp.

JOHN:

I should have killed you when I had the chance.

TAPP:

Yes, you should have.

-Tapp shoots John

SHANE:

No!

TAPP:

But you didn't.

-John pulls a tape out of his pocket as he is slowly dying

-John presses play.

JOHN: (on tape)

Hello Shane. I was testing you. I took you in. I selected you for the

honor of carrying on my life's work.

FLASHBACKS

-We see Shane opening the basement door when they were setting up

the house

FLASHBACKS END

JOHN: (on tape)

But you didn't.

FLAHSBACKS

SHANE:

That's right. I'm a murderer.

FLASHBACKS END

JOHN: (on tape)

You didn't test anyone's will to live.

FLASHBACKS

SHANE:Game over.

FLASHBACKS END

JOHN: (on tape)

Instead you took away their only chance. Your games were

unwinnable. Your subjects merely victims. In my desperation, I decided

to give you one last chance. So I put everything in place. You feel you

have control don't you? You think you will walk away untested?

-Shane looks at the envelope with his name on it.

-He takes the envelope out of John's hand

-He opens it. There is the photo of him and Raven he was looking at

eariler.

-On the back of it reads "This Is It"

-We see Raven walking toward him in the distance.

SHANE:

What the fuck?

-Raven takes out a gun and shoots Shane.

JOHN: (as he is dying)Game over.

-John dies.

-The next morning we see EMTs and police outside the mine.

-We see EMT's wearing mining masks as they are in the mine.

One finds Shane. We see he is still alive. But he is still on the ground.

EMT:

Hey, are you all right? Help is on the way. Can you tell me your name

-Shane grabs the pick axe next to him and kills the EMT.

-We see Tapp and Raven walking out of the mine.

TAPP:

So let me get this stright. You gave Harry clues to lead him to Shane?

RAVEN:

Yeah. It was a minor stab. It still hurts like a bitch but I am fine. And as

long as Shane thought I was dead, I knew I could catch him

TAPP:

You did a good job.

-A detective approaches Tapp. His name is Detective Fisk Erickson

ERICKSON:

Tapp. You okay to walk? What the hell, man? What happened? Where's

Warden?

TAPP:

Harry's dead.

-We see the EMT's in mining masks walk out of the mine.

One walks ahead of the others and walks into the distance.

-He takes off the mask, revealing Shane's face.

-Screen cuts black
