The Tyrol’s Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis holiday region is situated in an ancient cultural landscape. At an altitude of 1,436m above sea level, the area occupies a high plateau above the Inn valley and enjoys more than two thousand hours of sunshine a year. The atmospheric 4-star Hotel Tirol is located in an exposed position, yet nestled within a stately mountain setting. It is owned by the second generation of the Pregenzer family.

Opening week14 – 21 June 2014‘Bergtöne’ in Fiss & at Hotel Tirol

‘A village full of music’ is the motto of this year’s opening week in Fiss. Famous brass bands from Tyrol, Switzerland and South Tyrol will be making our Alpine plateau resound with the sound of music as they perform in three concerts on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday respectively. There will be symphonic and concert music for brass instruments and sophisticated light music as well as marches, which are currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity. The 1½ hour concerts are held on an open-air stage in Fiss, or inside Kulturhaus Fiss in the event of bad weather. Entry is free.

We too will contribute to the musical fun in and around Fiss – savour our delicious wine and regional specialities as you enjoy the sounds and harmonies of our Alpine tradition.

A week of delights and flowers –

Première of theTaste Sensation Event Series21 – 28 June 2014

With fragrant flowers and aromatic flavours, our week of delights and flowers is all about exquisite sensory adventures. Taste fine wines, schnapps, jams and juices; listen to atmospheric music in our Pleasure Lounge and stroll through our colourful flower show. The herbs we use to flavour all the dishes included in our luxury board form the culinary focal point of the week. Aromatic herbal teas and special herbal massages round off this programme for all the senses. An early start is advised on the 24th of June when the fair is in Fiss, as there is a lot to see and do. After a musical clarion call from our local band, Musikkapelle Fiss, immerse yourself in the country and its people, and enjoy a convivial pre-lunch drink in the church square.

Mountain Hay Week –

at the Taste Sensation Event28 June – 5 July 2014

The smell, feel and even the sound of hay awaken feelings of summer. The fine fragrance of dried meadow grass accompanies us as we gather hay to make crisp pillows. We fall under the spell of the area’s sublime mountain panorama and feast upon a picnic in the hay – and in the afternoon, as we enjoy a leisurely snack in the garden, we share tips on the uses of hay for wellbeing. Hay takes centre stage throughout the week. The programme includes heavenly hay massages as well as our mountain hay evening when the wild herbs from the surrounding meadows and forests call the culinary tune. Speaking of tunes, there will be plenty of good old-fashioned traditional music to entertain you during Mountain Hay Week. You are cordially invited to a hearty evening of music as we whisk you away to the Fiss Fountain Festival, where music and good regional food come together in perfect harmony.

Culinary Carousel –

at the Taste Sensation Event5 July – 12 July 2014

Enjoy quality time with family and friends at this multi-faceted summer festival. We kick-off with a gala dinner to get you in the mood for a week of culinary highlights, which include a garden party devoted to Aphrodite, goddess of love. Popular presenter and cabaret artist Lilly Staudigl reads from Isabel Allende’s ‘Aphrodite: A Memoir of the Senses’, and takes an entertaining look at love, attraction and eroticism to the accompaniment of atmospheric music and an aphrodisiac barbecue buffet.

‘Yesteryear in Tyrol’ is a very special themed evening and features court jester Christoph Habringer. Be transported back in time as you sample dishes from bygone days and listen to amusing stories about Tyrol’s past.

The Giant Slide, new Slackline Park and Kneipp facilities at the Möseralm’s Summer Fun Park Fiss are free with the SUPER.SUMMER.CARD. The card also includes entry to the ‘Adventure Mountains’ trails based on the adventure stories by famous children’s author Thomas C Brezina. Children aged three to 15 can use the card to enjoy the entertainment programmes on offer at the children’s clubs and the Murmli Crèche. Six days a week, the ‘Mini&Maxi Club’ in Fiss-Ladis and the ‘Murmli Club’ in Serfaus provide full-time childcare facilities and are staffed by highly qualified play and activity leaders. Adventure World Serfaus with its interactive ‘Murmli Trail’ and ‘Murmliwasser Waterpark’ is also part of the package. 15 play areas are grouped around a stream in the ‘Murmliwasser Waterpark’ close to the Komperdell midway station.

‘FISSER FLITzER’. FISS. A 2,200-metre adventure rideThe ‘Flitzer’s’ starting point lies at an altitude of 1,812 metres. As it is next door to the Möseralm terminus, you can get straight onto the toboggan, grab the joystick and go. Several surprises await you en route.

FISSER FLIEGER. FISS.Pull on your pilot’s vest, strap yourself in, thumbs up and go. The ‘Fisser Flieger’ is a flying machine for four passengers that ‘floats’ at between 8 and 47 metres above the ground.

SkySWING. FISS.Careful, you could get addicted: for one fabulous instant when centrifugal force and gravitation offset each other, the body is overcome by a feeling of weightlessness. This is immediately followed by a twelve-metre free-fall.

FISSER GoNDE.13 stops have been added to the Fisser Gonde Nature Trail, which now forms an attractive circular walk. While each new stop is quite distinct, some are educational, some are fun and others are interactive, they all revolve around the Fisser Gonde natural monument.

WoLFSEE IN FISS.This new family-friendly circular path passes through the gently rolling landscape and provides a veritable feast for the eyes. Deciduous and larch forests alternate with colourful meadows and fields of flowers while the mountain peaks are reflected in the lake’s clear waters. Comfortable benches are set up all along the way for you to relax and unwind.

SERFAUSER SAUSER.There is something rather special about soaring 85m above the heads of people walking below. At speeds of up to 65km/h, the Serfauser Sauser is exceptional, exhilarating and great fun. There are trained guides to look after you and make sure you are safely secured into your harness before you glide from the Sunliner mountain terminal to the Komperdell valley terminal.

WoDEWELT LADIS.Wodewelt Ladis is a fairytale trail based on ‘How the paradise seeds came to Ladis’, a tale by the famous storyteller Christian Stefaner. The Woden Theme Park was set up around the Neuegg pond in Ladis to bring the magic of this story back to life, and features adventures on a giant scale.

NEW! BIkEPARk SERFAUS-FISS-LADIS.A new and exceptional bike hotspot is now open, with five different trails and within easy reach of the forest railway and many other attractions.The newly built mountain bike area is an activity highlight for the whole family as well as seasoned mountain bikers. The new free-ride trails offer cycling fans of all ages and abilities top-notch biking fun.

Take the forest railway to the mountain terminal at 1,830 metres above sea level, where there are trails for four levels of proficiency. Back in the valley, you find yourself in a true cyclists’ playground – a perfectly scaled Slope Style Area, a pump track, a training course and a kids park round off the bike arena.
