From Your Potentate Illustrious Sir Stephen Hawes

Dear Nobles,I hope this finds you and your families well and healthy. Au-gust already! The end of summer is near and I have definitely missed the usual summer season of parades and fundrais-ers we have always enjoyed this time of year. I’m sure that sentiment is shared by our entire brotherhood. We have had a couple opportunities to enjoy each other’s company and find a small respite in the storm. Our Barbeque sales and party were fantastic. It was a successful fundraiser. We raised $8,000.00 for our Temple. I am so thankful and appreciative to all Nobles and Ladies who helped not only presell the wonderful butts and ribs cooked by our own Jim Johnson, but to all those who were able to support us through purchases, spreading the word, working during the event, or by simply attending our parking lot party. It was heartwarming for all to see happiness and laughter, especially since it had been so long since we had been able to gather for such an occasion. Although we were not able to have our Potentate’s Ball, we did enjoy our “Pre-Ball” party held at the Temple on July 31st. We had barbeque on the second floor and open rooms on the third floor by UCO’s who so graciously provided even more food and hospitality for all. With the DJ, Karaoke, and a little dancing thrown into the mix, we really enjoyed another chance to come together to visit and see old friends. It warmed my heart to see friends enjoying themselves once again. It was profitable too. We ended up $359.00 to the positive. We are planning to have another gathering in October, so please watch the Hot Sands for information. Due to its large scale and the nature of the event, we will not be holding our summer picnic, nor will GLSA 2020 in Evansville take place this year. I know we were really look-ing forward to these events and I am disappointed that we will not be enjoying them this year. The circus is still scheduled as always starting Thanksgiving Day. As our most important fundraiser, it is imperative that each Noble continue to help by selling or buy-ing ads for our book. Ticket sales will begin soon, so please do all you can to help make this event a success this year. It is extremely important that we come together to sup-port our Temple through this fantastic fundraising event. A heartfelt thank you is in order for all Nobles and their families for their continued support of our Temple and our mission. Thank you so very much to all volunteers and attendees helping make each event a success. For our members and their families at home, we miss you and can’t wait to see you when you are comfortable attending. I wish you all well and will see you again soon. The 2021 Dues Assessment will begin in ear-ly August with an emailed Dues Notice to all Nobles with an email address and a balance. The hardcopy mailing will follow in mid-Sep-tember.We will be offering the ability to have your 2021 Dues as an ACH payment of $40 per month beginning September 28th through December 28th. Summer greetings to all Nobility and friends from the Oasis of Hadi Shrine Oriental Band. Well Nobles, time marches on for us as the first part of this year has been truly a nightmare and it seems as though this pandemic just won’t go away. Once again it hit us as we decided at our June business meeting that the OB Family Picnic on Aug. 15th has been cancelled for the safety of our members and their families. We apologize for any inconvenience but I’m sure you’ll all agree with us on our decision. Now looking towards the future, if all goes well, we’re going to combine our Ladies Night/ Christmas Party into one event on Dec. 5th. As that gets closer, more information will become available. As for any other OB events coming up in the near future, we’ll keep everyone informed of times and dates as they become available. We’ll either post them on FB, in your Hot Sands, call-

ing post or you can get them at our business meeting. Hang in there Nobles, we’ll get though this together and pray everyone stays healthy. The OB booth is really starting to take shape, with new flooring, wiring, siding, jack stands and much more thanks to some of our hard-working dedicated members. You know who you guys are and I thank you all very much. Circus Ad sales are on going so fellows be sure to get on those Ads and once they’re sold get them turned into the office. Circus ticket meeting will be coming up short-ly so be sure to watch for that as to times, date and location so we can get an early jump on our ticket sales. Get well wishes to all Nobles, family and friends with health issues. Pray that they receive Divine Blessings for a speedy recovery. Right now, Nobles we’re kind of in limbo or stymied at what we can or can’t do but continue supporting your Shrine and most of all, stay safe.

Greetings Nobles from the members and friends of the Hadi Drum and Bugle Corps. I hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable summer season. Fall is right around the corner!! Thanks to all the members who spent many hours making the Barbeque festival a success. As you all know, Circus Ad protection ends August 28th. Get your ads turned in as soon as possible. It’s almost time to start selling those tickets for the upcoming circus. Let’s make every effort to support your circus by selling as many tickets as possible. Knox County Shrine Club

Greetings fellow patrolmen, hope everyone is staying healthy. I’ll be glad when this corona virus is history. Unfortunately, the Potentate’s Ball has been cancelled. We will, however, enjoy our annual Hospitality Night held at Hadi Temple on Friday, July 31st. Many of the parages are still up in the

air but Captain Tom will keep us posted on that information as it becomes available. The patrol needs a secretary. If any patrolman would like to step up raise that hand high at our next meeting that would be great! Well, thats all I’ve got. See you at our next meeting August7th. If something changes, robo calls will be sent out.

pike county shrine club The Pike County Shrine Club is holding a Chicken Dinner Fundraiser on August 8 at the Petersburg VFW. Drive through service will be available from 11-1pm. Get a half grilled chick-en, buttered corn, baked beans with bread and dessert for just $12.00. Preorder by calling the Pike County Shrine Club President, Brent Craig, at 812-789-3115. A limited number of additional meals will be available the day of the event.

The Pike County Shrine Club will also be hav-ing their annual gathering and hot dog roast at Prides Creek on September 19 from noonish until 2pm. Fellow nobles are welcome to stop by and say hello!

On top of each CODE Cart is an advanced life support (ALS) monitor that allows the doctors and nurses to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary.

Aisys Anesthesia MachineDuring surgery, anesthesia is provided. The anesthesia machines keep needed supplies on hand and provide easy connections between the anesthesia machine and each patient. This anesthesia machine provides a mobile, compact design and has a high mount for the patient monitor, which allows the entire operating room team to see and hear the patient monitor during surgery.

Central Monitoring Station Hardware/Software Update - Patient Information Center iXIn each operating and PREP/Recovery room is a patient monitor. Each monitor connects to the central monitoring station and allows staff to view the monitors simultaneously. This hardware/software requires an update.
