Method of Allocation Allocation will be made on a first come first served basis, upon receipt of payment and the application form. IMU will try, where possible to allocate apartments to groups. IMU reserve the right to allocate Students to:
1) any apartment to ensure that all apartments are occupied 2) a mixed gender occupancy apartment to ensure that all apartments are occupied.
After you have been allocated a room in an apartment, a request to transfer to another room/apartment can be made only at the end of the semester. You may be given priority to extend or renew your tenancy for IMU hostel provided there is a vacancy or no extenuating circumstances preventing you from returning. However for Sponsored students, the IMU Hostel lease is for the duration of the 5 years in IMU as long as you are still an IMU Student.
Important Note for IMU Medical Students - Check-out Date Medical students in Semester 1 will need to check out from the IMU hostel in Week 24. There are 26 weeks in Semester 1. You are required to vacate by the end of Week 24 because the new intake of students will be commencing their course before your Semester ends.
Terms and Conditions 1. Rental is for one semester and must be PAID IN FULL upon return of this application form to the IMU. This
rental is inclusive of weekly cleaning services. 2. Students are encouraged to refer to the “Hostel Rules & Regulations and Information on the IMU Apartment.
You are advised to read and understand the rules & regulations. 3. NO REFUNDS are given should a student decides to vacate his/her room before or during the semester. 4. The Check-out schedule listed for the IMU hostels is fixed and NO extensions are allowed. 5. Penalty charge will be imposed and deducted from deposit placed with IMU for :-
a) Rooms and common areas NOT cleaned - RM200.00 per inspection check b) Late return of keys – RM100.00 despite having checked-out c) A daily penalty for late check-out – RM100.00 per day d) No bed linens (bed sheets) – RM50.00 per inspection check c) Any damages to properties/furniture, the charges will be at replacement value to damage property. d) Utility bills (Bills normally are settled in FULL within 2 months)
6. Students are encouraged to carry out a self-inspection on check-in and check-out. Form will be made available on check-in.
7. Regular inspections will be conducted and students, collectively will have to pay for any maintenance carried out on your behalf (within a week).

8. The cost for electricity and water will be covered by the University up to a maximum of RM180 (Standard) & RM200.00 (Superior & Deluxe) per month per apartment. Any Excess will be shared by the students of the apartment.
9. Any damages, leakage or breakage must be reported immediately to Accommodation Officer at [email protected].
10. All general consumables, for example fluorescent tubes, light bulbs etc. will be provided by the University; however it is the responsibility of students to report to the Accommodation Officer at [email protected], for replacement.
11. CHECKLIST: Students MUST bring the following items for their personal use at IMU Hostel, Bukit Jalil as there will be NO provision at the hostel.

Pillow & pillow case
Blanket or quilt
Bath Towel
Torch light
Crockery & Cutleries (Not Applicable for Superior and Deluxe Type)
Personal toiletries 12. All cheques must be made payable to: IMU EDUCATION SDN BHD (Refer to Appendix 2)
The amount payable should be for your first preference.
Rooms are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
IMU reserves the right to allocate/place students in a mix-gender apartment to maximize occupancy
