Have you been looking for a way to reach those in the local community who need to find a church home, and have fun bonding with your existing church members? We have the answer! Host an EASTER EGG HUNT Powered by NCS Services Host an EASTER EGG HUNT NCS Services has been consulting with a number of churches that have hosted Easter Egg Hunts (EEH) or Easter Eggstravaganzas (EE) to find the ideal way to help reach the community and grow church membership, all with the assistance of NCS ChurchConnect Services. An EEH is a hunt for Easter Eggs with potential prizes inside if you wish. An EE is an Easter Egg Hunt as well, but also includes several other forms of entertainment, such as face painting, inflatable balloons, balloon artist, a puppet show, a fire truck, or a petting zoo (just a few options you may wish to consider). Either event is an ideal way to reach those who need the church. Powered by NCS Services Increase Membership and Community Involvement With either event, your church must require guests who attend, both members and non-members, to sign up online through our event registration program (see #3 below for event registration tips). This will help you know in advance who is attending. In addition, it will help you build a mailing list to follow up with attendees. Encourage everyone to attend. Offer Mega-Prizes or Golden Eggs at your event. These should be interesting prizes like iPads, Kindle Fires or prizes of value. (The Mega-Prizes or Golden Eggs could be part of a drawing that you hold at the end of the event.) Offering these prizes will generate greater interest in the event and produce a stronger turnout, providing an opportunity to reach new potential members. This one-day event has the potential to reach many people, provide a wonderful venue to share your faith, and increase your membership. Regardless of which event you choose, we suggest you host a few hunts for different age groups. For example, many churches have 3 or 4 different age groups holding 3 or 4 different hunts. The oldest group (maybe teens and up) hunts for the big prizes. Have the Pastor, Evangelist or Priest available to make the invitation to visit the church and pray for the event. The event will be a strong springboard for future community outreach programs such as food drives, vacation bible school, bake sales and any other outreach program you may consider. The event has proven to be a great success for many churches. One example - a 400 member church in Florida had over 2000 people attend their event. The best news is that over 25% of them came to the church to hear the Minister speak. How big your event becomes is up to you, and NCS Services will be here to help.

Host an EASTER EGG HUNT

Below are some key steps to help make yours a wonderful event:

Decide now to host your own Easter Egg Hunt or Easter Eggstravaganza event.

Based on the previous outline, choose which event to host. The EE takes additional planning, but also brings the community together in a greater way.

Begin now to work on the event by setting up the registration portion on your E-Giving menu. To activate* this feature now, please click on the “view/edit” option on your event calendar link on the E-Giving main menu.

Determine the prizes so you can begin advertising to the church and the community. (One example of how to advertise - A church sent invitations home with school students.)

Open the registration to members and non-members. Encourage members to invite friends and family.

Share your E-Giving event link for participants to register online. After a participant RSVP’s for the event, you will receive an email confirmation.

By requiring pre-registration be done through the NCS Event page, all attendees will be shown an option to make a donation to the Church. This can create new online contributors and increase your non-member mailing list.

Most churches hold the event on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Some will hold the event on Easter Sunday before church and invite the attendees to attend the church service after the event to hear the true story of Easter. Simply decide what will be most beneficial for your church.
