O L’architetto e designer aggiunge un nuovo capitolo alla sua ricerca estetica e al design delle relazioni tra spazi, oggetti e cromatismi con un intervento di recupero di un palazzo del Novecento da tempo abbandonato.La struttura storica si combina con grande equilibrio con la contemporaneità degli arredi e del progetto di interior design, che ri-specchia in modo efficace il pensiero e l’estetica cara a Cibic. Il risultato è un hotel che rievoca una grande casa, un posto intimo e accogliente che offre ai propri visitatori l’esperienza di vivere l’atmosfera della vecchia Milano. “Savona 18 l’ho vissuta come una grande casa, nel senso di renderla un posto intimo e accogliente. Quando si esce nella corte si vive l’esperienza profondamente milanese di abitare in una casa di ringhiera, mentre il murales è la citazione di uno skyline incompleto, poetico nei suoi colori tenui” ha dichiarato Aldo Cibic.L’ospite è accolto nella lobby, che appare subito come una vera e propria galleria d’arte curata in ogni dettaglio. Il bancone all’in-gresso ricorda un mobile tibetano fuori scala, mentre la panca gialla di mosaico, insieme alla grafica delle pareti, contrasta con i toni neutri della stanza.Divani, tappeti, lampadari, specchi e accessori, firmati Aldo Cibic e Paola C. by Aldo Cibic, dando un tocco di colore e un estro ricer-cato e contemporaneo agli ambienti, decorano il bar e il salotto, descritto da Cibic come “un salotto raccolto, con tante cose che sono come frutti diversi che stanno insieme”.La corte interna di 310 metri quadrati è stata trasformata con divani e poltrone in un grande salotto open air, in cui spicca un murales firmato dallo stesso Cibic. Savona 18 Suites si compone di 43 stanze, arredate tutte in modo differente per offrire una grande ricchezza di scelta anche ai clienti ricorrenti, in cerca di esperienze sempre originali. Gli arredi variano tra oggetti vintage e di design contemporaneo, con quadri, cro-matismi, legni e tessuti che conferiscono a ciascuna camera un carattere e personalità unici. Atmosfere che possono essere replicate nelle case degli ospiti: gli arredi delle stanze e degli spazi comuni possono, infatti, essere acquistati.

Nella lobby, il bancone all’ingresso ricorda un mobile tibetano fuori scala, mentre la panca gialla di mosaico, insieme alla grafica delle pareti, contrasta con i toni neutri della stanza.

A typical Milanese “ringhiera” (with shared balconies) house turned by Aldo Cibic into an art-focused hotel. In the lobby, the desk at the entrance is reminiscent of an out-of-scale Tibetan cabinet, while the yellow mosaic bench, together with the wall graphics, contrasts with the neutral tones of the space.

A typical Milanese “casa di ringhiera” (a house with shared balconies) was turned into a hotel in-between a domestic living room and an art gallery: this is the project by Aldo Cibic for the Blu Hotels hotel group

The architect and designer adds a new chapter to his aesthetic research and to the design of the relationships between spaces, objects and colors with the recovering of an abandoned building from the early twentieth century.The historical building well harmonizes with the contemporary furnishings and interior design project, which effectively reflects the thought and aesthetics dear to Cibic. The result is a hotel that recalls a large house, an intimate and welcoming place that offers its visitors the experience of living the atmosphere of old Milan. “I lived Savona 18 as a mansion house, in the sense of turning it into an intimately friendly place. When you go out into the courtyard you enter the profoundly Milanese experience of living in a casa di ringhera, while the mural cites an incomplete skyline, poetic in its muted colors” said Aldo Cibic.The guest is welcomed in the lobby, which immediately appears as a real art gallery

curated in every detail. The counter at the entrance is reminiscent of an out-of-scale Tibetan cabinet, while the yellow mosaic bench, together with the wall graphics, contrasts with the neutral tones of the room.Sofas, rugs, chandeliers, mirrors and accessories, designed by Aldo Cibic and Paola C. by Aldo Cibic, giving a touch of color and a sophisticated and contemporary taste to the rooms, decorate the bar and the living room, described by Cibic as a “cozy living room, with many things lumped together like different fruits”.The inner courtyard of 310 square meters has been transformed with sofas and armchairs into a large open-air living room, in which a mural signed by Cibic himself stands out. Savona 18 Suites consists of 43 rooms, all furnished in different ways to offer a wealth of choice even to frequent clients who are always on the lookout for original experiences. The furnishings vary from vintage objects to contemporary design, with paintings, colors, woods and fabrics that give each room a unique character and personality. Atmospheres that can be repeated in guest houses: the furnishings of the rooms and common areas can, in fact, be purchased.
