Patients at Kennedy University Hospital benefit from the extra level of care provided by our team of Hospitalists.

What is a Hospitalist?Hospitalists are specially trained healthcare professionals who are experts at treating hospitalized patients.

Hospitalists have a unique knowledge of in-hospital medicine and are readily available round-the-clock. This specialized training and availability benefits patients with enhanced communications, and improved outcomes.

Kennedy’s Hospitalists are physicians and nurse practitioners trained in Internal Medicine who only care for patients at our three hospital locations (Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township).

Along with managing the daily care of our hospital patients, Kennedy Hospitalists serve as the link between the hospital, sub-acute rehab and other outpatient settings, working closely with many primary care providers in the South Jersey area.

Hospitalists not only care for patients while they’re in the hospital -- they help ensure that care plans are carried out well beyond discharge, and work to ensure that families are kept “in the loop” throughout the process.
