Lexington Clinic is seeking an BC/BE internist to join a very busy Hospital Medicine practice. The department is currently made up of seven physicians and continues to have a need for additional partners because of high volume and increase in referrals. The hospitalists work out of St. Joseph Hospital, a 460 bed hospital located directly across the street (connected by a pedway) from the Hospital Medicine suite.
The average daily group census is 90-95 and the group works Monday-Sunday with shared day call, night call and
rounding responsibilities. Each physician averages 8-11 days off a month and works a seven week rotation of one Monday-Thursday day call shift, one Friday-Sunday day call shift, one Monday-Thursday night call shift, one Friday-Sunday night call shift and the remaining days with rounding responsibilities only.
The Hospital Medicine position will offer a competitive salary guarantee with production-driven quarterly bonuses. Opportunity for partnership is available after one year with no buy-in.
