Abrasive wear and corrosion are the most common

causes of breakdown in pneumatic conveying systems:� Unscheduled production stoppages increase operating costs

An increase by up to 15-fold in the service-life of Mas-ter-PROTECT tube bends is not uncommon:

This is thanks to a combination of extremely resistant polyurethan and amodified internal geometry, which specifically help to stop serious impactwear in the tube bend.

The material being conveyed thus impacts against a surface made of PU,thereby preventing corrosive wear. The „trampoline effect“ causes thematerial being conveyed to bounce off the side and run through thetube bend almost diagonally, with its speed scarely reduced. The internal geometry of the bends results, especially in the case ofwear-critical conveying, in the loosening from the wall of strands of solidmaterial. This causes the concentration of material to be distributedmore evenly across the cross-section of the tube.

IIn the after-runnings, a consistent speed profile becomes apparent overa very short stretch. The following section of tube is thus subjected toless load. Standard tube bend Master-PROTECT tube bend

Obviously lower operating costs and an increased productivity lead to a raised economy of the plants!
