We have also called for advice from the Algoa Bus Company to look into the Re- zoning of the Bus Stop in front of the school. With the help of our local Councillor, we are also looking into possibly making Jenvey Road a one-direction road at certain times. We are concerned that some parents double- park, try to make three-point turns in the busy Jenvey Road congestion and park on the allocated bus parking area. We want to appeal to all parents to assist Dr Colleen Wright, who is also a concerned parent, to approach any drivers who act irresponsibly in the traffic in Jenvey Road. If you want to offer your services, please contact the school on 041 5832111. Please make use of the different gates when dropping off or fetching learners. CONGESTION IN JENVEY ROAD

In conjunction with the Traffic Department, we

are busy investigating the possibility of a

Pedestrian Crossing at the small gate in Jenvey

Road and we are also going to appeal to the

Traffic Department to help us enforce the rules

of the road. We have also called for advice from

the Algoa Bus Company to look into the Re-

zoning of the Bus Stop in front of the school.

With the help of our local Councillor, we are also

looking into possibly making Jenvey Road a

one-direction road at certain times.

We are concerned that some parents double-

park, try to make three-point turns in the busy

Jenvey Road congestion and park on the

allocated bus parking area. We want to appeal

to all parents to assist Dr Colleen Wright, who is

also a concerned parent, to approach any

drivers who act irresponsibly in the traffic in

Jenvey Road. If you want to offer your services,

please contact the school on 041 5832111.

Please make use of the different gates when

dropping off or fetching learners. Ensure that

learners get into and out of vehicles on the

pavement side of the road.

Pearson Interact: "Run for the Cause

not the Applause" Congratulations to Ms Rossouw, Alisa Louw and all the members of

the Interact Organising Committee for a highly successful Pearson fun

run in aid of Cheshire Homes. The 5 km run attracted learners and their

families from the school, as well as many outside runners supporting the

event. A marked feature of the race was Pearson pupils pushing and as-

sisting the Cheshire Home residents in wheelchairs. The residents truly

enjoyed themselves and remarked that the learners

gave them a chance to interact with the outside world on the same platform as able-bodied people.

Pearson Interact recently donated a

motorised wheelchair to Ben Erasmus who also

competed in the fun run. He has been a resident of

Cheshire Homes for more than 40 years.

As a result of this fundraiser, Interact will be

handing over a cheque to the value of R10 000 to Cheshire Homes.

Congratulations to Mrs Cloete, Ms Yvonne

Vermaak and all the members of the organising

committee, officials, referees and our players for a

very successful Adcock Ingram Yvonne Vermaak

Tennis Tournament. This was another first for

Pearson with 10 schools participating in what is sure to become a

regular event on the calendar.
